Capistrano Beach

Capistrano Beach is a wonderful beach that offers a friendly, small town atmosphere. In contrast to the wide and sandy beaches located in the north part of Newport and Huntington Beach, Capistrano Beach has narrower stretches at the base of its hills and cliffs. Capistrano Beach has perfect sand for volleyball, basketball and many other beach activities. A refreshment stand is open during the summer months, which has fishing gear, food, beverages and beach supplies. There are surf boards, roller blades and bicycles available to rent. Capistrano Beach has public restrooms and outside showers, seven volleyball courts and a basketball court. There is a paved parking lot with 140 spaces.

Capistrano Beach Park opened to the public in 1980. Attractions nearby Capistrano Beach Park include State Park Beach, Golf, San Juan Capistrano Mission, and San Clemente. Capistrano Beach is farther from the big theme park crowds found at Disneyland or Universal Studios. This means Capistrano Beach is a low tourist destination and will give you peace, quiet and privacy. You will relax on this vacation in which you will see breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Located between San Diego and Los Angeles you will find that major attractions are less than an hour from your Capistrano Beach rental.

Capistrano Beach is located 2 miles from Dana Point. It is open every day of the year between 6 am and 10 pm. Capistrano Beach is a wonderful location to shop, dine, play on the beach or just relax. There are many Italian, Mexican and Chinese restaurants here. You would be able to go for a nice ride on your bicycle to get to a superb restaurant.
