It is within walking distance to Market, Block Buster Video, Carl's Jr., Pizza, Sub, & Chinese take out. Spaghetti Factory, Crab Cooker and the Newport Pier shops, with bike, rollerblade, bodyboard rentals available at the Pier area. Close to Disneyland, Knottsberry Farm, Medevil Times (15 minutes away), The Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, (30 minutes away), and Universal Studios and Hollywood Bowl (45 minutes away).

Attend the world famous Pageant of the Masters and the Laguna Art Festival in Laguna Beach. Take the Balboa Ferry by foot or car over to Balboa Island. Delight in a Balboa Bar or chocolate covered bananna. Marvel at the skilled body surfers at the world famous "Wedge". Go to a movie at "The Big Newport" the largest screen on the west coast.
