The Coral Cabana on Easy Street The day begins with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a steaming cup of coffee. You walk to the beach past the walking trail, and, because it’s early, there’s no one there…nothing but the rhythmic waves crashing against the white shell sand of Florida’s Emerald Coast. You walk back to find the household up and about, with kids playing and breakfast cooking and all the joyous confusion of a family vacation.
Or maybe it’s just you and your spouse (or that special someone), and coffee and the morning paper, sitting in the double swing chair in the front yard next to the private pool, listening to the birds chirping as you plan your next lazy day. One way or another, there can be no doubt; you’re definitely on “Easy Street!”
“Coral Cabana” is our open, airy, three-bedroom beach house on a quiet, private drive in the Crystal Beach area of Destin, Florida. Just a short walk to the beach, this private single-family home, has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large family room and a full modern kitchen. The entire house is on the same level, so everyone is together and more importantly there are no stairs to climb.
Newly landscaped outside, freshly painted inside, brand-new carpet installed throughout, a new high-end microwave in the kitchen, and an oversized ceiling fan in the family room, we have furnished and decorated “Coral Cabana” to meet our own personal standards for quality and comfort. There’s a new king-sized bed in the master bedroom, and, instead of opting for an inexpensive mattress, we chose a top-of-the-line Serta mattress and box springs. This is the quality that we ourselves would want to find in a higher end vacation rental, and we like to pass it on to our guests.
Similarly, when we installed the new 280-square foot deck around the pool, we chose a composite material. It costs more than wood, but we didn't want our guests to worry about getting splinters.
And, since we know that you may not want to spend all of your time at the beach, we’ve paid particular attention to our in-house entertainment offerings. These include Cable TV, including local Destin area channels; a library of our favorite books; and a new DVD-VCR with numerous new and classic DVD & VHS titles. (This unit will also play audio CDs, so bring your favorites!)
We've also furnished the house with wireless internet and a telephone and answering machine for those vacationers who need to also attend to business. With the spacious floor plan of Coral Cabana, there's plenty of room for you to do work while the kids play. But don't work too hard; it is a vacation after all!
We love the “Coral Cabana on Easy Street,” and we think you will, too. So much so that we think that once you stay here, you’ll want to come back year after year as many of our guests do, and you’ll want to tell your friends about your great new find. And on top of it all, if you check our prices and compare feature by feature, you’ll find that “Coral Cabana on Easy Street” is absolutely one of the best values in the area. And if you don’t feel so before you arrive, you definitely will when you leave.
