This lovingly detailed 3-bedroom, 3-bath beach front home radiates warmth and coziness featuring 3 window seats where you can curl up with a good book, take a decadent afternoon nap or watch monkeys swing through the trees.
It also features a large infinity pool and Jacuzzi.
But what sets it apart from cold-built-for-investment-only vacation rentals is its owners, a wildlife photographer and conservationist couple who worked with scientists such as gorilla researcher Dr. Dian Fossey and orangutan authority Dr. Birute Galdikas. The Discovery House reflects their exotic world travels and unusual experiences creatively echoed in a second story floating photo gallery. Delightful surprises such as hand-painted sinks and art tile reproductions of their photos of endangered primates are found around every corner. The professional Mexican-style kitchen was inspired by artist Frida Kahlo’s own kitchen in Coyoacan, Mexico with art tile reproductions of her paintings.
Enrichment of the monkey corridor with the planting of 60 fruit trees, recycling, no overhead cables to obstruct your views and a water treatment plant mirror the owners’ dedication to preserving this Manuel Antonio gem and its endangered primates.

Weddings
The Discovery House is the ideal location to celebrate your special event. Our 2,300 square foot beautifully designed Spanish-style home has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, an infinity lap pool, Jacuzzi, and is a mere 100 feet from the beach.
Our large terrace overlooks breathtaking Espadilla Beach and is another perfect place to host your ceremony or reception. The house has 3 beautiful window seats that convert into single beds and can host up to 8 people. Weddings are limited to 30 people. Enjoy frequent monkey sightings from the ocean view honeymoon suite. The master garden bathroom has romantic hand-painted sinks, a bidet, and a tub built for two. The kitchen has professional appliances.
We work with Costa Rica’s premier special event planners. Allow our wedding planners to arrange the endless list of details such as your flowers, catering, music, photography, etc. Upon arrival into paradise you may sit poolside, go beach combing, and leave the endless tasks to your event planners. We want your time here to be stress free. Our wedding planners will make sure all details are taken care of, allowing you to concentrate on what is important, one another.
