You'll encounter unexpected details throughout their custom built home such as one-of-a-kind art tiles replicated from their personal photos of orangutans, gorillas and other amazing animals. Every detail tells a different story. The owners were drawn to Costa Rica by the endangered Red-backed squirrel monkeys that grace an elegant pedestal sink in the “Monkey Bathroom.” A shower niche was inspired by the cover of the owner’s book, “Among the Orangutans.” Nine-foot tall Moai statues adorning the swimming pool were a birthday gift commemorating a trip to Easter Island. A floating photo gallery on the second floor invites you on their expeditions to Borneo, Rwanda, Nepal, Thailand and beyond.
