| Experience the difference of renting an oceanfront home! Enjoy unobstructed ocean views from many rooms and walk directly from the deck onto an expansive, quiet beach. We rent our comfortable, spacious, fully appointed house most of the year. Summer weeks book quickly, but you should also consider off-season weeks. Given southern North Carolina’s temperate climate, the solitude and beauty of the off-season is wonderful and usually warm, particularly in April, May, September and early October.
Experience Caswell Beach, one of the East Coast’s most quiet beaches. This beach town is all residential with no commercial businesses, yet shopping, restaurants and movie theaters are all minutes away. This sea turtle sanctuary offers dunes with lush vegetation and a wide, virtually empty beach for long walks and shell collecting all year around.
Experience a unique east-west beach that lets you enjoy sunrises and sunsets! And at night, fall to sleep with the flickering light of one of America’s historic lighthouses, just across the street from our house.
Experience the slower pace of southeastern North Carolina, its many golf courses, the offerings in historic Southport and nearby Wilmington, and plenty of great seafood restaurants.
Location
Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River, Caswell Beach is on the east end of Oak Island, which offers abundant water activities like ocean fishing, swimming, surfing, kayaking and boating. Restaurants, mini-golf, shops, tennis courts, grocery stores, video stores and a Cobb-designed golf course are all on the island. Nearby Southport (10 minutes away) offers a multi-screen theater, restaurants, antique shops, art galleries and the ferry to Ft. Fisher Aquarium. For more civilization, Wilmington is 30 minutes north and Myrtle Beach is an hour south.
