The Location
Conscience Point sits on perhaps the thinnest stretch of developed land on the Outer Banks. Just over a quarter mile wide from ocean to sound, you will have unprecedented views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound. Home to some of the best fishing and water sports on the Atlantic Coast, you'll be in heaven on the nearby pier or while you're kite surfing. Rodanthe is one of the few towns reminiscent of what the Outer Banks used to be. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds of the northern beaches, Conscience Point is truly a getaway.
Conscience Point is centrally located to the northern beaches and to the lower areas, being just 30 minutes south of Bodie Island Lighthouse and 30 minutes north of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
All of your needs are just a stone's throw away at Conscience Point. The very best grocery store in the entire Outer Banks, the Village Grocery is just 15 minutes to the south. There you will find world class steaks, chicken and seafood as well as fresh meats for lunches.
For the souvenir collector, there are a couple of small boutique souvenir shops across the street from Conscience Point. You will be able to do all of your souvenir shopping without ever getting in your car.
During the summer months, there is a chain souvenir shop down the street and a go-cart park a few minutes south of Conscience Point. Also a fan favorite, there is a brand new Dairy Queen with delicious soft serve ice cream less than two minutes from Conscience Point.
