Bahamas Vacation: 700 Islands of Paradise
In the Bahamas, the sparking ocean is just as essential as dry
land, and relaxation is a way of life.
With so much to do and so little vacation time, here are some
of the essential activities to try, restaurants to enjoy, and places to
stay!
Vibrant and exotic Adastra Gardens and Conservation Centre is
home to the national bird of the Bahamas, the flamingo, and also offers
five acres of tropical plant life, an assortment of Bahamian birds, and
a variety of small animals such as the native iguana. The Centre is
located on New Providence Island and is a must-see for those who want a
once in a lifetime chance to see these rare and remarkable flora and
fauna.
Also visit the Dolphin Experience, a zoo and aquarium on Grand
Bahamas Island. Bottle-nosed dolphins are incredibly friendly and
playful, and at this up close and personal experience, they will swim
right up to you! If you’re into scuba diving, there is also a 2 hour
diving program with the dolphins by the reef.
The International Bazaar is an outdoor mall filled with
duty-free goods, Bahamas clothing and gear, and vacation souvenirs. The
mall is divided into special sections themed after countries such as
Greece and France, and offers a world of shopping and entertainment to
all Bahamas vacationers.
Also on Grand Bahamas Island is the Royal Oasis Casino,
recently renovated with a new modern ambiance and 700 slot machines.
The Casino is located right next to the International Bazaar and is
also part of the Royal Oasis Golf Resort, so there is plenty for the
non-gamblers to do as well.
Keewatin Sailing offers a family-friendly daytime activity of
sailing lessons, including piloting, boat handling, and an introduction
to marine life. For a less hands-on boating adventure, try Reef Tours
on Grand Bahamas Island, which boasts the largest glass-bottom boat on
the island. Deep sea fishing and snorkeling are enjoyable activities on
this cruise, but don’t forget to check out the romantic Enchanted
Evening cruise, where wine and cheese are served while you take in the
gorgeous Bahamas sunset.
For your next vacation in the Bahamas, try a luxurious
Bahamas vacation rental to enjoy a weeklong getaway with all amenities
included. To ease your worries, current weather conditions on the
Bahamas can be seen
