"A Step Above
Having stayed in Brookes and Shoreys condos many times we have come to expect clean comfortable lodging. Pelican Isle 306 is exceptional. It is definitely a step above the average comfortable unit. Great care has been taken to add extra amenities so guests don't have to rush out and purchase necessities. Extras such as handhold in bathroom and make up mirror, nightlight, extra wall plugs, quality linens, towels, quality appliances,washer/dryer, dishes, well stocked kitchen. Being an organized person I loved the labels for lights, ceiling fans, TV instructions, dishes n kitchen items, step up for exit to balcony was well marked. The extra touch of beach decor added a nice touch. We will be back to 306. Thanks to the owner for this exceptional unit

"Lovely Condo on the Sands of Okaloosa Island
We really enjoyed our stay in Unit #306 at Pelican Isle on Okaloosa Island. We were right on the sand and had a marvelous view of the beach & crystal clear waters from our balcony. The unit was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and had most everything we needed. Several great eating places are nearby, and groceries at Winn Dixie & Walmart were within 10 miles."

"Most relaxing vacation ever.
The condo was perfect for us. Unparalleled view of the Gulf, very well furnished, especially the kitchen. We like to cook and found everything we needed. Having beach chair and umbrella service was fantastic. I cannot imagine anything better than the setup we had.
I have 2 suggestions. We missed having small plates and bowls. Just a minor detail, but would like to suggest getting some to add to an otherwise well furnished kitchen. The other is that we received several messages of things we should bring that would not be furnished, so we packed them only to find out that they were furnished. I would have appreciated not needing to pack unnecessary items."

The only thing bad was the sliding glass door. If you went out and closed it you couldn't get back in unless someone inside opened it for you. The outside handle had been broken off. "

"A few small disappointments to an otherwise wonderful stay. May I suggest these few items would be very inexpensive to fix. 1. The batteries to the TV remote was held together with "duct" tape. I never did work.
The vertical blinds were broken, missing and some laying on the living rm floor. There was almost no way to completely close the bedroom blinds so as to have privacy. This is a bedroom with 2 people on a vacation. Make the blinds easy to use and larger. And one more: the clock battery was dead. All together I'd say about $40 and everything is fixed. Oh, and if you could raise the outside temperature about 10 degrees next time that would be great too. Thanks, see you next time, Larry G"

We only stayed a night but the accommodations were perfect. On the beach, great view, awesome customer service! Only complaint would be the pool is narrow with no room around it to hang out, which want too bad since it wasn't overcrowded."

"Relaxation Heaven
Absolutely perfect.
We needed time away from reality and this fit right in. Everything we could possibly need was available to us. This is the perfect size unit with all the amenities of home. A pool downstairs and the ocean right out of the front door. Need more, entertainment and dining was just short drive down the street.
However, if I have to pick something to complain about, then I really just have one thing: the patio door of this unit was really hard to open and close. The effort it took to close it caused the door to slam loudly. This made it impossible to not wake my sleeping 6 year old on the bunks in the hallway when all I wanted to do was watch the sunrise peacefully.
That being said, I will highly recommend Brooks & Shorey to my friends and my next vacation to the beach will be on one of their properties. I am ready to go again."

Second stay in Pelican Isle 306. All new kitchen appliances was a super addition. Sliding door now moves easily. The decor was great, bed comfortable. Wonderful to have a place to stay that is BOTH clean and well kept. Kitchen well supplied. Not only is the desk staff kind/helpful but the other staff one might encounter, were always friendly and helpful. All of the facility is kept clean. GREAT TO HAVE FREE BEACH SERVICE. Highly recommend!"

Pelican Isle is an excellent location along the Gulf. The beach is beautiful and the amnenities are very good. The front staff was exceptionally helpful and are a real asset.
Pelican Isle 306 was a good location for watching the dolphins and surfers. However the unit needs to be updated. The kitchen utensils were is poor shape or non existent. Furniture in the living room is showing its age and needs to be replaced. The bed was comfortable, but the decor could use some updating as well.
Our overall stay was pleasant and we would be interested in renting in |Pelican Isle again."

We had a great vacation. My only concern with the room was the door locks. There is no way to deadbolt and you gave to trust that no one dishonest can get in while you aren't there or at night while you are asleep. Also I have a three year old and I was constantly worried that he could open and get out the door without me knowing it...a chain or something similar out of a Childs reach would be nice to have for peace of mind."

End of june stay.
The accomodations were ok. Kids enjoyed the pool and location served us well because we dont like to be in all the congestion. However, this is our third year near there and probably our most dissatisfied in the condo roomwe had. It was ok..but we hadissues along as we stayed. The wifi..couldn't get it to work on any four of our devices. We got it to see it with the code but it would never connect...tried forever. Next the sliding glass to.balcony sucks! You have to.use both hands to open and shut it and eatch ypur kids fingers please. Mine are 10/13 and I.was still worried remotes to tv worked but were in bad shape. The back kept falling off so we put tape on the one. The one thing about the general place was that there is no management 24hours so the teenagers ran wild in the pool...and one was using a shovel to play drum on the b as lcony in the AM. We called and management said this was the first they heard. While everyone sitting on the balcony is yelling up at said boy to stop. It was little things that added just beware."

We arrived in 306 from Sept 2-7, 2012. We had 2 adults and a 3yr old in our party. The condo Is beautifully decorated. The location is great. There is a grocery store a few miles away. No restaurants within walking distance so a car is highly recommended.
The view is breathtaking. Directly on the ocean.
We were uneasy that the deadbolt did not work. Also the screen door seemed to be hard to open.
Overall, highly recommended and we will be back!"

"Fun in the Sun
We selected this condo at Pelican Isle without any knowledge of the area or the property. We were extremely pleased when we arrived at the location. It is an extremely clean beach area that is not overly crowded. Very family friendly! There are restaurants nearby and it is not as crowded as the Destin area. The condo itself was very clean and it could not have had a better view!! We spent nearly all of our time on the beach or sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. We also enjoyed the complimentary golf pass each day and the two beach chairs set up for us on the beach. We also went on a dolphin cruise using the complimentary pass from Brooks & Shorey. My family couldn't have asked for a better week at the beach!"

This rental experience was top notch from the time I booked until I checked out. The condo was ready for us when we arrived and we found it to be very clean and just as pictured. The view from the balcony was fabulous.
Added bonuses were the goodie bag we received upon checking in and the complimentary beach chairs for each day. The receptionist greeted us with a smile from the moment we walked through the doors.
We will definitely be return visitors."

"Very Nice Condo, Would Stay Here Again
We usually vacation at Hilton Head and this was our first trip to the Gulf. After seeing that the sand and ocean are as pretty, if not prettier, in real life than in the picture, I don't think we'll be able to go anywhere else from now on.
This condo wasn't our first pick but it was our first pick from what was available on short notice. We were not disappointed. The condo is attractively furnished and surprisingly clean. We were very happy with the property in general and will most likely stay in this particular condo again in the future. "

Second year in a row that we have stayed in this condo. Just like last year it was great. Weather was fantastic and the beach was not crowded. The condo was clean and updated. The new stainless steel appliances was nice. Last year the dishwasher top rack was almost rusted out. Definitely staying here again next year. Just little things would make it better such as a DVD/blue ray player in the bedroom and some thicker curtains. Also a few extra towels would be nice. Overall a fantastic stay."

"TV Remote Tune-up
The unit was beautifully decorated. There was some sand at the front door that hadn't been cleaned up and toothpaste on the master bathroom mirror that hadn't been cleaned when we got there. Other than that everything was clean. The Wi-Fi code on the actual router was incorrect. We found the correct code in the owner's book located on the table in front of the couch. We never could get the TV remote to work except to turn the TV off and on. Each time we tried to change the channel, or volume, or use the guide it just said not available so we had to get up to manually change the channel each time. Otherwise we had a wonderful time."

The condo was great. It was well furnished and had a great view. Our only issues (very small issues) were that the sliding door to the balcony was difficult to open and close and the bed squeaked at the tiniest of movements. Overall though, we had a fantastic time! "

We stayed here for a week with our 3 kids. It was roomy enough for all of us. The decor was nice and the place was clean. I'd say my only complaint was the bed in the master bedroom was VERY squeeky and LOUD. I know what you might be thinking, but not for THAT reason. Hear me out... We had a crib set up in the master bedroom with us for our 1 year old. Just sitting on the bed made a bit of racket that never failed to wake the baby. Let alone rolling over or getting out of bed! One of the best parts of leaving and coming home was actually sleeping in a comfy QUIET bed. Otherwise, we loved the place and would definitely go back and stay in 306 again!"
