Condo was acceptable clean upon arrival, walking in we found a child's sock under the edge of bunk beds in h
the hallway! Condo had an overall smell of staleness made us think it was not cleaned just straightened up. Refrigerator had problems with ice maker, ice would not drop ice, but we just reached in and got ice rather than bother anyone on a holiday weekend.
We enjoyed the fireworks from the balcony as well as dolphins everyday overall yes we would stay in this condo again. "

My wife and I have been coming down to the Panhandle for over 30 years and I will say that this condo was one of the best condos we had ever stayed in. First, Brooks and Shorey was always very professional and helpful from the time we made reservations all the way to the end of our trip. Second, the condo was very clean (base boards needed dusting/cleaning) and the kitchen had all that one would need to cook except a cutting board. The beds were comfy, bathrooms nice, family room great but the balcony was the true star of this unit! Morning, afternoon and evening you could fully enjoy this balcony. The views were outstanding from east to west! I would recommend staying at this condo Unit 401 with Brooks and Shorey. I assure you the condo and the resort company will not disappoint. "

"Spring break high school baseball trip
We had a very nice stay. Cannot complain about the condo where we stayed. It was clean and roomy. The views from the balcony were beautiful. We had a a small issue with the hide a bed and the ice maker. Sent an email and someone from maintenance was there within an hour. Would recommend Pelican Isle."

"Beautiful Views
This unit had all that was needed to prep & cook a meal. The master was great with the hand held shower head and jet tub. However the living room/dining area was not very family friendly at all. The space was cramped and the tables were too large for the space. If people sat at the table others could watch TV. Dining table was so big we couldn't even reach cards in the middle. The furniture could definitely be updated to something more cohesive. "

"Love Pelican Isle
We have stayed at Pelican Isle for many years. We could not ask for a better location. PI401 is a nice unit. It was clean, nicely decorated, had plenty of dishes and towels. We did experience refrigerator issues several times during our stay. The staff that came to diagnose the problems were very friendly and knowledgeable. Apparently this was not the first time this frig had issues. The only other issue is that, by design, the master bedroom stays HOT. You have to freeze out the front of the condo (blankets and sweatshirts) to even be able to almost comfortably sleep. There is a fan in the closet for a reason. This does not just apply to PI401. We have stayed in 501 for many years and have the same issue. There is no crockpot, so bring one from home. Would we stay in this unit again? Definitely. The refrigerator hopefully has been repaired and the hot bedroom can't be resolved. "

"Nice Place
Nice Place, lots a room for our family of 4. We had a few problems, but were COVID/Hurricane Related. Hot tub was closed (COVID). Walk through to pool and fitness center was closed. (Recent Hurricane damage). Also the master bedroom closet smell horrid. (Mildew/Mold). This was most likely due to the 2 hurricanes of recent weeks. We just kept the door closed and put our items in other closet. We like staying down here because the beach isn't as crowded."

Okaloosa Island is our favorite vacation spot but have never stayed at this particular condominium. It did not disappoint! The decor was modern and updated, the view was spectacular, and we were provided ample supplies to last the week; such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, soap, dishwasher detergent, and lots of towels. We would stay in this unit again."

This was our 4th year at Pelican Isle and our first time in unit 401. The view was amazing, the furniture was comfortable. The beds were the best we have had at this condo. Our only complaint is that the unit wasn't very clean. It felt dirty and there was a musty smell through out. There were a lot of air fresheners and damp absorbers through the unit...Could be the dehumidifier or the a/c wasn't working properly. Sadly, it affected our stay. We wouldn't choose this unit again."

"Awesome week stay in Ft. Walton beach
The condo was fantastic! Fully furnished, clean, comfortable and the best of all, with an amazing view to the beach! The days on the balcony enjoying the view were the best! Nothing like the sound of the water and the waves hitting on the shore. The building was very nice, with a heated pool and jacuzzi. The condo was even better than what I expected, in terms of location, layout and amenities. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying there again in the near future."

Our family of 5 had a peaceful trip at unit 401. We enjoyed the unit being right near the stairs for easy access to beach. Very impressed with housekeeping and the staff was incredibly polite and helpful!!! The wrap around porch was a lovely way to begin and the day sunset and dolphin watching!!! It was relatively quiet!! We would stay again for sure!! "

"Fabulous vacation in the perfect condo at Ft Walton Beach.
It was a pleasure dealing with Brooks and Shorey Resorts. They will be my first contact when I schedule another vacation. Condo #401 at Pelican Isle is the perfect place to stay at Ft Walton Beach. The condo was very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. This is perfect for older and younger vacationers. I love sitting on the balcony, drinking my coffee, while picking out which loungers and umbrella I'll use today, or seeing how many people are at the pool, or in the hot tub, before I go there. The view is wonderful and if you are an early riser, you can enjoy seeing the dolphins in the ocean. Fantastic eating places and entertainment very close by. Endless things to do. Also, not as much traffic on Okaloosa Island."

The vacation was really good and we very much enjoyed the condo and really loved the set up of the condo. The condo was furnished very nicely and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of nice plates, cups, silverware and storage containers. The only real negative of the condo was it was not very clean. We stayed in the condo with our small children and their feet and knees were very dirty from crawling on the floor. Socks and pants were very dirty, looked as if they had been crawling or walking outside. Also, we ended up vacuuming the living room area ourselves the second day because there was a lot of crumbs and dirt around the couch and under the chairs. Overall, not a huge deal, but that part was a little disappointing and would probably recommend talking to the cleaning company about it. Would still stay in that condo again because the set up was perfect and loved the wrap around balcony. "

This condo has lovely east & south views of the Gulf, since it's on the east end of the building. The condo is well furnished, with updated paint colors & nice artwork. Kitchen is well equipped. I like that the barstools had backs on them, not just a seat. It's nice to have beach setups every day. Bedroom carpets could stand to be replaced. The king bed in the master br wasn't the most comfortable & the sheets were too big. Master BR closet needs repainted; bedding & pillows stored there, as well as those on the bed, have a funky odor. Same funky odor is on the upholstered furniture in the living room. The WiFi doesn't reach all the way to the Master BR. Despite all this, we would return to this condo again, especially if cleaning and updates were done. In any event, we love Pelican Isle for its quiet location on OKI, yet convenient to Publix & restaurants in FWB and Destin. "

"Great for 2-3 People
This is a great condo that advertises it sleeps 8. It does, but it only seats 3 in the living room and 7 at the table and bar combined. So, it's perfect for a couple with a child or two. Also, the dryer wasn't working good. It took several hours to dry a load of clothes. We really enjoyed it overall, though."

"Awesome Stay
This is our first time to visit Fort Walton area and we fell in love with the area. The condo we choose suited our needs and more. Very clean, beds were comfortable, it had plenty of kitchen supplies in fact we ate in several meals and I had everything I need to prepare meals example: pot, dishes, cutery etc.
I guess the only complaint I have is the workout area only had 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical in there, I was hoping for more since several of us exercise daily or try to. I would definitely recommend this condo and I would definitely consider renting it again in the future. "

"Pelican Isle was Great
We had a great summer break vacation. Four adults and three kids. First time, and probably not the last, in Okaloosa/Destin area. Couldn't beat the location, right on a beautiful beach with instant access. The unit was spotless with more than adequate supplies. The staff was very courteous and helpful with any questions we had. I definitely recommend Pelican Isle for a favorable memorable vacation."

"Smith's 30th Anniversary - Sept. 2014
The Condo and View were better than the photos !!! The master BR /bath had a Jacuzzi tub . A welcome surprise to us ! A couple on our last cruise told us that the Panhandle of FL had white sandy beaches like the Cayman Islands. They were right !! Every morning & all day we had an unobstructed view of the beach. We always look for a pool & hot tub. Pelican Isle have both. We had great customer service & would recommend this property to others. We might be a little selfish with the exact condo as we had the corner unit. B &S have some perks. We went on a sunset dolphin cruise with Destin SNOKEL, and loved it so we booked a Snorkel 3 stop cruise 2 days later. B & S offers one free trip. We snorkeled , Kayaked, shelling and Dolphin watching. The crew was very experienced & family friendly. No party goers on this cruise ! Soda & water provided and you can take your own lunch. We had a wonderful time!!!! We had bad experience with snorkeling in the past at 3 different places. I ( VICKI) have severe motion sickness. The Reef Runner was like a giant pontoon boat . a very smooth ride. I also took my motion sickness meds to be safe.
My Husband & I will definitely return ! This is a great time of year as children return to school , so not very crowded. Our Favorite food: Bubba Gump's fish & Chips, in Destin, The Crab Trap, Okaloosa Is.& A Greek restaurant in Shamar."

"Pelican Isle is a wonderful place to rent
I love the Pelican Isle. I have used them for at least 5 years. The condos are always clean well kept nicelly furnished and a wonderful location. All the people are nice friendly and helpful. I love to have at least one beach getaway to the beach a year. For at least the last 6 years I have chosen Pelican Isle. Each year I have always had a great room . The views are great and the furnishing nice. But This year room 401 was outstanding and the view!!!!!! wonderful. I'll be back!!"

"To good to be true?
We were skeptical. But it is everything you could want in a vacation rental. With free golf & movie rentals we thought there would be something wrong. But there wasn't. Great location, great condo & clean. The golf was easy to book & it was a nice course. Movie rentals were on the property with no limit and plenty of titles. We were so please we stayed two extra days. The staff is GREAT. On site management is a big plus! We loved having a corner unit. The master suite had sliding was wonderful to sleep with the sound of the ocean. Just writing this makes me sad that were aren't still there! Thank you!"

We had a wonderful time at Pelican Isle. Our condominium was perfect: Spotlessly clean with everything we needed at hand. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, cooking items, etc. Any concern we had was taken care of immediately by the management staff. ex: wi-fi wasn't working---was fixed quickly by very friendly staff. The beds were comfortable; there were games, books and DVDs in the livingroom cabinet; lots of TVs. Best of all was the beach and water! Our view from the balcony was lovely! Uncrowded beach with plenty of chairs/umbrellas. Would definitely book this one again."
