We had a big family of 19 including kids and had one of the most wonderful vacation. We had plenty of room for kids downstairs with tons of activities. Several bedsheets were in fact very dirty upon arrival...Quick wash and good as new. "

We liked the house enough to book again next year. However felt like the house lacked a commercial ice maker. Getting ice everyday was a real hassle and could be solved by having a commercial ice maker. The other thing lacking was beach towels. Both of these were provided in our last rental in Port A. Finally the dumpster was completely full and was not picked up on Friday as showed on sheet. "

The home was beautiful but unfortunately very poorly cleaned and maintained so it was a disappointing experience. Especially given the pandemic I expected the home to be thoroghly cleaned between guests visits. The washer and dryer were not usable because they were so disgustingly filthy and smelly, there was vomit inside one of the couch cushions so we could not use the TV room. The ping pong table only had two paddles, both of which were damaged. The floor was very dirty so it was obviously not mopped only swept. I informed the property manager after our stay about all of this and they graciously refunded the cleaning charge but sadly that was only about 5% of the cost of our stay, so it really did not make up for all this. I hope some drastic changes are made to the cleaning and maintenance of this home because I would love to be able to come back someday. Our stay was in July 2022 so I will be checking back often to see if anyone gives them praises on the cleanliness and maintenance before I decide to book again. "

House was neat with game room below and good size number of rooms
But the house is dated and mosquitos are plentiful !!
Some of the furniture was peeling and looked very old and used, not what you would expect to see in house that is over $2000 per night.
Some of the bedding was tearing and kitchen supplies was limited
But listing should warn guests about the massive amounts of mosquitos in the summer"

"Fantastic Location
The location is fantastic. We felt as though we were on a private beach. Because we paid top dollar for this rental there were a few things that should have been better...There is no shelving in guest bathroom shower so toiletries had to be put on floor in dirty water. There is nowhere to put your suitcase other than the floor in all but the master bedroom. Should at least be a suitcase rack to help prevent sand and bugs from entering suitcase. The washer & dryer are much much too small for a house this size. Can only run 2-3 towels at a time which made having clean towels a chore. If you do have over 15 people the refrigerator is too small. Bring a few very good coolers. The drink cooler in basement did not work during our rental. There was no wine corkscrew or measuring cup in kitchen which was a bummer and made cooking difficult. Also, upstairs needs another table in dining/living room space, sitting around bar is not ideal. We had an issue with trash and it took me (4) calls to rectify which was not what I wanted to do on my limited vacation, be told by mgmt company to continue to leave the beach and call them. However, 4th time was a charm and I got the right person and didn't have to call again."

"Amazing House!!
This house was truly perfect! We had a family trip to Port A with about 18 people. There were more than enough bedrooms for the couples, lots of couches or cots to sleep on, and was very comfortable overall. The house has beach access, a private pool, pool table, etc. We couldn't have asked for more! And the management company was SO very helpful every time we called. We will most definitely be reserving this house again next year!"

"Aptly titled: Beach Paradise
We wanted a beach house close to the water for our family vacation. This rental was exactly as advertised, beach front.
As a group of 9 adults and 5 children under 6, we decided to do our own cooking. The kitchen does have everything you need, but I would suggest bringing your own knives for food prep.
If you don't want to cook, restaurants are only a few miles away.
A recently constructed pool is fantastic! The flip of a switch starts 3 bubbling "fountains" and a light show. The kids absolutely loved it!
The spacious Jacuzzi in the master bath has strong jets and is pretty amazing. It fills slowly, so plan accordingly.
There are a couple of improvements needed. It could use mats inside the sliding door from the beach and the private boardwalk is very slick the last 6 feet before the sand. The last board has a small strip of grip tape(?), but the entire slope needs to have some type of non-slip treatment. Just be sure to hold on to the railing at that point. There is an outdoor shower halfway up the boardwalk and 2 more by the pool. So convenient! I'm sure the "private property" signs are taken down by beach-goers, so you do get strangers using the boardwalk shower on occasion. They may have tried to lock the gate at the beach end of the walkway, but, again, probably a losing proposition.
This is an updated, beautiful, comfortable beach house with a breathtaking view from the porch and ample space for large groups.
We brought a cabana tent for the beach. It was stolen the 2nd day when went inside the house for lunch. That's our bad. Just do not leave anything you don't want stolen on the beach or position them so that you have a clear view from the porch.
We highly recommend this spectacular beach rental. We will definitely return for our next beach vacation."

When I walked into the house I said this was so much more that I expected. Tons of room for everyone. Ages ranged from my 88 year old father to my 4 month old grandson. A virtually private beach in front of us. We had a total of 21 family members. Planning on doing it again next year. Excited that there will be a pool by then. "

Rental experience was really good! Our beach house provided plenty of room for our large group of 19. The kitchen was ideal for cooking, and the large back porch was HUGE! The views were amazing! One suggestion would be to have a grill for renters to use. The beach traffic was a little heavy, but overall great experience."

"The Perfect Getaway Spot
When they call this a beach front home, that is no joke. The view from the back porch was amazing. We spent hours just sitting out there drinking coffee and watching the waves in peace. There were several other locations that boasted beach views and beach front spots, but after seeing them all in person this is the only one I think can really live up to its description. Everything inside the home was amazing too. The kitchen was stocked full of various appliances from your typical coffee maker and toaster to your more exciting waffle maker and air fryer. The game room downstairs was awesome when you wanted to just play. There really was nothing about this place that disappointed. I can't think of a better spot to spend a family vacation."

"Big Time House
Rented this place for a Bachelor Party/Fishing Trip (18 guys). Slept everyone one very comfortably. Pictures do not do it justice. There is a lot of space. Overall a clean well kept house. Has just about everything you need, pool table, ping pong, Foosball, sound system, etc. It does sit next to another property but you hardly notice that its there. Private beach access is awesome, fishing was good. Definitely will be coming back to this house."

"Literally RIGHT on the beach!
Our yearly family get together at Port A is usually at a nearby resort since we have small children involved, but the dates didn't match their re-opening date after the hurricane last year. We decided to rent a house on the beach to accommodate all the people. This house more than fit the bill. It's located south of Port Aransas by about 9 miles, but is literally on the beach and has two huge vacant fields/areas on either side. There is one house neighboring, but there is a privacy fence between. The house was fully remodeled due to damage from the storm. Fresh paint, new flooring and nice cabinetry. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplies. There are so many electric appliances to use and saw at least three ricers!!! Then there was no can opener, so we bought and left a cheap manual opener The kitchen has so much storage space for your things. The master bedroom is fantastically huge and the bed very comfy. There's a walk-in shower as well as a giant jacuzzi tub that fit all four grandkids. Lots of closet space available there. There were two other bathrooms upstairs as well and three more bedrooms. The back porch is so nice and big with breezes cooling you in the worst heat. The (no steps) boardwalk to the beach is very short and easy. Be careful of the sandy incline near the beach. Slippery even with shoes on. We just went barefoot and carried our shoes. The game tables were not in yet, but the downstairs is really nice. There is a full bathroom and a TV/sitting area and small kitchenette. There is also a king bedroom down there, but no private bathroom. The two sets of bunk beds are out in the open by the sitting area. The house is a work in progress, so we wish them luck getting thing set up. Non-glasstop end tables needed, a recliner or two... Loved our stay!! Would come back."

Rented this house for our wedding, pre hurricane Harvey. It was nice then, not sure if the hurricane affected this house or not, but by the time our wedding came around it was completely re modeled with a new boardwalk and paint job. Absolutely beautiful!! The location of the house is is excellent! However the property has not been well maintained. Outside there was trash around and under the house,in the dunes, and the dumpster was overflowing. The shower on the boardwalk had no water going to it. We tried to turn it on and another faucet was broken. We called to have it repaired and no one came. Insid the furniture was very nice as were the appliances in the kitchen. It was the little things that detracted from the house. The lamp in the master bedroom was broken, the dryer didn't work, and the lights in the second bedroom kept tripping the breakers. It would be nice to have a better selection of cookware, more blankets, and towels. A bit more interior decorating would really enhance the house. Overall this house has a lot of potential. It just needs a little TLC! We had a very nice time. "

"New Years Weekend on the Beach
The beach house was perfect for our holiday weekend away from the city. We loved the convenient beach location and being set apart from the larger condos and housing developments in Port A. The beds and sleeping arrangement was very comfortable even for 12 adults. The house had some loose fixtures and the ice machine didn't work, but the weather was cool all weekend so the lack of ice did not make a big impact on our experience. The property was clean and had all the expected amenities for a beach rental. Port A Escapes was very easy to work with for the entire reservation process. It was cold and rained most of our weekend, but our group still managed to get out to the beach for fishing and some bird watching. We would love to return to this property sometime in the summer! "

Our group was 3 families, 6 adults and 8 kids. The house was the perfect size and the lower level was perfect for the older kids. Each family had its own bathroom (very high on our priority list). The best part was it was safe and secure. Great location too - we brought groceries and never left the house the whole trip; we utilized the kitchen in a major way! Access to the beach was ideal also. Great deck with ocean view! "

"Executive Beach Paradise
Check in didn't go well. I got the idea I was working with temporary help from the local high school. The house is impressive when you get to it. The outside area could stand some maintanence done. There are three large planters at the front stairway. Unfortunately, the plants were all dead or dying. Bricks and broken PVC pipe are laying around. The inside and the deck were great. There were fixtures broken and light bulbs out. There were rat droppings outside the house and no broom was provided to keep the house clean. I called and everything was taken care of except the rat problem and the broom. There is a constant air blower running in the bottom game room. It made sleeping there difficult. Some other things that did not get fixed were the ice maker associated with the refrigerator and the undercounter ice machine. The room was very adequate for our group of 16. One of the young member of our party stepped on a nailhead that was exposed on the boardwalk and received a blood blister. Upon checking it appeared there were several nailheads that were not flush with the boards. They had not been hammered in by the final day. With just a little more attention to maintanence this would have been a great stay. One time when I called in for a problem I was told that they handled 200+ units and that they would get to us when they could. A little training in PR would be good."

"Great location, privacy, but....
The location was awesome and very private beach access off the back porch. For housing a number of people, the home was perfect, including two coffee makers for mornings; HOWEVER, the ice machine was on clean cycle the entire time and produced no extra ice, only one regular sized spoon available for meals, no BBQ grill was provided (since away from town, we cooked every meal), and the room with bunk beds was TOTALLY unusable. The beds squeak very loudly any time someone shift, regardless of weight. It worked well for our purposes, except for the items listed above. Would have been perfect if there had been more silverware and mattresses on the bunks that were usable!"

"JUST SO YOU KNOW!
2nd year to book here. In 2013, sofa leg was broken, couldn't close back doors & the lack of furniture in the main living space made life difficult. In 2014, same broken sofa but now, the cushions' fake leather was peeling off in pieces & the shredded pieces were all over the floor. No coffee table, end tables, or lamps. Not a comfortable place to sit anywhere, even dining chairs are hard with straight edges that cut into your legs. Before I booked for 2014, the management co. told me owner had replaced the sofa. Double checked this week before arrival & once again told, owner had replaced the sofa. TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION! They later admitted they had not been to the house in a while. The back door is broken & can't be locked AT ALL. Signs on other doors read "DO NOT USE". Kitchen is lacking in just, basic requirements, not to mention nice serving pieces that most rentals provide. Couldn't even open a can of tuna as the hand-crank can opener was broken & no pitcher for tea/lemonade, no salt & pepper, enough flatware, no laundry soap or coffee filters. How can you bring your own coffee filters to a rental if you don't know the type of coffee maker? Don't book thinking the kids will have fun in the moldy basement playing games as, Ping-Pong, air hockey, foosball, etc, they are all broken in one way or another. No playing cards, board games, or books provided. We have stayed in VRBO rentals literally all over the world and this property is owned by people who just do not care if you enjoy your vacation. The management co. did bring things for the kitchen when we called them & there was a look of astonishment and shock when my husband brought the shredded sofa cushion to the office. The house was clean & is close to beach BUT before you book you should be aware that your safety will be compromised & you need to bring everything you may need in the kitchen + activities for kids. "Family Friendly Vacation Escape
Central vacation spot for family gathering from Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Most impressed with the large kitchen, family room, bathrooms, porch and privacy. Young adults loved the game room downstairs. Plenty of towels and sheets but needed blankets for the pull out couches. Was surprised there was not a bar-b-que pit provided. Now that we know what additional items are needed we will definitely be back for more fun in the sun."

"Best Weekend of Our Lives!
Hosted our wedding at the Executive Beach Paradise House and it was pretty much perfect.
Small mishaps with the fridge and clogged shower, but management was there right away to solve the problems. The house is beautiful and you cant get any closer to the beach. Ceremony at the beach, party at the house. Another benefit is the house is not in a neighborhood so we didn't have to worry about noise complaints. Everyone loved the house and we highly recommend it! Can't wait to come back for our anniversary :)"

"Wedding weekend house
I had my small wedding here and it was perfect for that. Married on the beach and reception on the patio. I wouldn't say it sleeps 16 adults, but 6 adults and 10 kids is a more comfortable number. The house needs a lot of general matinence outside. Lots of dead plants and palm trees. Doors don't lock and some of the handles were rusted to the point of not being able to use them. The house served its purpose though. It was the perfect location for a weekend long wedding and the private boardwalk is so very nice to have. There was more than enough room for the wedding reception. "

TV, foosball, air hockey, and ping pong all broken. You shouldn't market it if it doesn't work. Asked for a refund and only received $500. I spent $3000 for the weekend. I think the $500 was an insult. This house is missing all of the normal things you expect in a beach beach towels, no laundry soap, only 2 garbage bags? Really? A weekend of 12 people and just 2 bags? Poorly managed."

Light bulbs were burned out everywhere, there was no Direct TV/cable (forget watching college football), the oven had oven cleaner sprayed inside of it but was never turned on (until we started cooking and it smoked up the entire house), the downstairs is toxic with black mold in the air conditioning (it made several of our guests sick and forced people to sleep in the living room upstairs), there is black mold all over the master bathroom ceiling, and there is very little stocked in the house (bring everything from your own shampoo to coffee filters). The views are fantastic though, you are literally on the beach, and the back patio has more than ample space."

"Great location, but...
One of the best locations near Port A that I've ever been to. Very private. The property is nice but the downstairs area is really more of a dungeon. It's only accessible from an outside door. It's dark and has no windows. The property wasn't very clean. Beer cans and junk just laying around the house, the interior wasn't very clean and unlike most rentals it wasn't stocked with basic essentials in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked great and the internet worked fine albeit rather slow. This house should get 5 stars if they took a little time on fixing a few things (the myriad of french doors leading to the huge back deck are broken and it took a while just to find the one that worked) and clean it better. When we arrived to pick up the keys the young lady who greeted me seemed rather dismissive and not the kind of welcome I usually get when arriving for what is clearly a vacation. "

"Mother/Daughter Weekend
My hometown friend group and our daughters came to the beach for a long weekend. The house was wonderful and the location perfect. The beach was very convenient to come and go, and the back porch perfect for visiting and still getting to see and hear the Gulf of Mexico. We loved every minute of our stay!"

"Dirty
I stayed for 3 nights at this home with my extended family of 15. (8 adults 7 children)My three main complaints are that the house was DIRTY, the boardwalk was broken and all three of the back doors needed repair. The place was not swept or mopped and the floors were very very dirty. Not to mention, I do not think the bedding was cleaned. The boardwalk and beach wagon were both broken, making it VERY difficult to get to and from the beach while lugging items and children. The back doors to the patio would not lock and were stuck. This made the process for getting out the back of the home difficult and also made the home unsafe for children and unsecured. The "GAMEROOM" did not have a net for the ping pong table and the air hockey table did not spit out enough air to play a normal game. If all items above were taken care of this would be a great rental! I am not a snooty person and we are not a snooty family. But we ponied up the $700(+) per night to get a nice place on the beach and we expect everything to be just right! If we wanted a fisherman's paradise for $300-$350 per night we would have got one. Do not call something an executive paradise unless you intend to do the necessary executive touches."

"The good outweighed the bad
My friends and I convened for my fortieth birthday weekend and when we're all together, we will always have a great time. Overall, the house and property were great with a few big exceptions. The first floor had a rather bad odor, part chemical and part moldy, which made us decide not to spend any time down there even though one of the initial things we were looking forward to during the weekend was spending time down there. I felt sorry for those that had to sleep down there. There was also a very unappetizing red stain on the mattress cover on the sofa bed in the main living room. However, the worst problem we had to deal with was that the foot bridge to the beach was partially collapsed. I contacted the management company regarding the smell and the bridge but I never heard back from them. Fortunately, one of my friends is quite handy and was able to reinforce the walkway with some of the supplies laying around so no one was injured.
For the price we paid for the weekend, I'm a little upset at how things went. I'm always willing to pay a premium price for a premium product but I don't feel we fully got what we paid for. "

"Super Beach Retreat!
This beach house is "THE BOMB"! It is located right on the beach with your own boardwalk. The deck is covered so it was perfect for my elderly mom. The bedrooms are huge and the beds are comfortable. My only suggestion would be a couple of throws for comfort when watching tv. "
