"Construction brought unwanted peats
The condo is beautiful. We stayed only a few hours as the construction on the building brought out unwanted pests. The condo was super clean so don’t feel like it was from anything other then the construction. Brooks and Shorey sent us to another building. We always use B&S and will continue to, just won’t book when construction is going on again. "

"Great Condo!
Awesome condo, comfortable beds, wonderful furniture- nice kitchen and bathrooms! The kitchen could be a little better stocked with sharper knives and a couple blankets in the closets would be awesome! My only complaint is that the pool was freezing. It advertises the pool being heated, yet when the lows were in the 50’s, they didn’t have the heater on. I know that is not the condo owners fault! Overall we loved this unit and would definitely stay here again!"

"Island Princess 309
This was our families first experience staying directly on the beach/ocean front which was great! I don’t think we will ever stay off the beach again. The condo was plenty spacious for our family. Having the beach chair service included in our stay was fantastic and so worth it! The beach service guys catch a lot of flack from customers and don’t get enough credit for their hard work keeping families happy and accommodated. My only complaint was that I did find some unswept trash under the furniture but visible, the master bedroom mirror was covered with dust and the ceiling fans are very dusty and dirty. One day the water was shut off for a couple hours for repairs by the HOA and then the next day pest control came by to do routine bug spraying. We were called ahead of time about the water but not notified about the bug spray. I later found that i was emailed regarding the bug spraying but who is reading emails on vacation? It wasn’t a huge inconvenience so I’m not complaining. Outside of that, our stay was amazing and we were very pleased!! Would definitely recommend this condo! "

"Wonderful vacation Condo
Our whole family (8) stayed in a Brooks Shorey resort this summer. Beautiful view and clean shores to bask in the sun, take in the beautiful sunshine! The pool was great as well!

We had stayed at island princess (not in the same condo) last year and really enjoy the location.
The condo was nice as expected. The furniture is average and beds were comfortable for our group. Obviously, no bed is like your own bed but they were nice.
We didnt have any issues requiring assistance from the property manager.
We enjoyed several resturants in the area including hightides, stewbys and rockin tacos.

Our stay at Island Princess was pretty good. Overall we were happy with our stay. The location is perfect and you can't beat th ocean view from the balcony. There were a few issues that came up. The hot water isn't very good and runs out quickly. Also, the floors were pretty dirty from th moment we got there. There was a roach in the kitchen but the biggest issue was the sliding doors leading to the balcony. We couldn't figure out how to close them completely and it made the condo extremely muggy and uncomfortable!
Even though there were some issues it was still a fun stay for our family! Also the customer service was phenomenal. The company also does a great job of communicating and updating you. Probably better than anyone I have ever dealt with. Brooks and Shorey answered any questions and made us feel welcome during our stay "

"Great family vacation
We had a wonderful time at the Island Princess. Other than the washing machine not working the first 4 days the condo was good. Some of the cutlery is rusted (we just sat those aside to make sure we didn’t use those) and some of the shelves in the refrigerator are broken but we just made the best of it. The location and view couldn’t have been more perfect. "

"Christmas Break Getaway
We had a wonderful time! My daughter was a high school senior when covid hit last year. After a tough end to the school year and a very different college experience last fall, it was the perfect place to get away from all the changes and uncertainty. My husband, 19yo daughter, 16 yo son, my mother and myself thoroughly enjoyed the condo, the pool, and the beach. The condo was perfect with room for everyone to have their own space. It was clean and nicely furnished. Hope to return there soon. "

The condo is nicely decorated and very comfortable. We liked the tile floors in the main living area and would recommend the owner replace the carpet in the bedrooms with tile also. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for those of us who eat in most days. I do have to say that several items had been put away unwashed by previous occupants. It would be nice if the cleaning service would check and take care of issues like this. We know and follow check out procedures and understand some people do not. Overall, our stay was very relaxing and we would recommend this condo. Loved having beach service provided."

We had a good experience at the Island Princess 309. The whole family had fun and really enjoyed a nice view every morning. Everyone had their own bathroom and that was great. The only negative was that the ceiling must have had a water leak at some point and the popcorn ceiling was falling on the dining table, kitchen counter and refrigerator. Other than that, it was a very clean condo."

"Great vacation spot
This was our first time staying at the Island Princess. There were 4 4 in our group and we had plenty of room. The condo was clean and fairly well stocked. The beds were comfortable and we had a great view of the pool and ocean. The master bathroom had slow to drain issues in the tub. But not enough to cause a problem. The Shrimp Basket was a very good place to eat with daily specials. I would definitely consider staying here again. "

"What a Wonderful Week!
Our two adult children, their spouses, and our grandson spent the week in this beautifully decorated, nicely updated, comfortable condo. With three bedrooms and three baths, we had plenty of room. The third floor location was perfect. Convenient to the parking lot, elevator (which we really didn’t need) and a short walk to the beach. The complex was very quiet and well maintained. There was plenty of parking, and the beach service was great.
I highly recommended staying here. I would certainly return again. "

Condo was beautiful. We loved the Island Princess & the beach. We personally think the pool should be a lot bigger for the size of the Island Princess. The pool was packed everyday. We didn’t like that we had to walk into the pool area to get to the beach & walking up the stairs was exhausting to get to the beach everyday. A ramp would be great!!! We would get up early everyday to get a front row for the chairs & umbrella & we couldn’t ever get a spot without buying extra or giving a great tip, that was disappointing to us.. we did like our condo, very clean & decorated nice"

"Labor day stay
This condo was beautiful and we loved the view. Spotted dolphins one morning. However, there were a few problems. One being the floor was dirty and the only mop i found to clean with was filthy itself. Second there were small issues that need to be addressed such as broken toaster, toilet paper holder, door handle to patio, dresser drawer broken. I know these are things that happen but you would think that housekeeping would address them between stays. We only used the kitchen for breakfast because we made use of the town's wonderful restaurants, Hawg's Breath, AJ's and McGuires!"

The unit was beautiful and comfortable. You are close to the elevator, the pool and the beach. The complimentary beach umbrella and chair rental is extremely generous and appreciated. With three adult couples, it was nice to have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was that the tubs were slow to drain out.

The unit was clean and nicely updated. We had 6 people and had ample room for everyone. The beds were comfortable and having three bathrooms was especially nice. The unit location in the building was convenient to the elevator, which made beach access and parking easy. It was right over the pool and was a little noisy at times but not a problem overall. I would recommend this unit."

This was a very nice condo with plenty of room for our family. We didn't cook much, but it seemed to have everything you might need. The view was amazing! My only complaint would be that one of the young men that set up the beach service was extremely rude. Other than that, it was great!"

"Beautiful and spacious
We spent a long girls weekend in this unit. It was large and provided enough space for 5 singles. We loved having coffee and cocktails on the balcony overlooking the surf. Next time we would choose a unit away from the pool as the kids were swimming and squeezing until 11:00 at night and we weren't able to get in the hot tub for all the kids in it. This is no fault of the management.
We arrived at 5 minutes after the office closed and one of the staff reopened the office so we didn't have to return the next day ... thank you for that thoughtful consideration!!! We appreciated it.
The unit was beautifully furnished and had adequate kitchenware. Great beach and much more quiet than Destin area. We went to Destin to eat some great seafood and shopping was good there too."

Great Experience!
Candice from Brooks and Shorey was very helpful and efficient. We arrived after business hours and it was easy to access our keys from the locked box. Condo was nice and our week long vacation was wonderful.
Pros of Unit 309 of Island Princess...Nicely decorated with understated tropical decor. Comfortable furniture...Large bedrooms...Well appointed kitchen. A minor glitch with internet service was quickly resolved. Our
6 ft 6 inch sixteen year old had plenty of room in the queen bedroom and the shower heighth worked for him as well. Kitchen was outfitted with all we needed.
We used a service called to pick up and deliver our groceries for us before we arrived.. WONDERFUL service!
Cons --1-0 Unit 309 is directly over outside pool. There is a wonderful gulf view but balcony is not a good place to relax until after 11pm when the pool closes. We also kept our drapes closed for privacy.
2- Islander Princess has only one way to the beach from the led through the pool and there was a back up going to and from beach---not an issue unless there is a thunderstorm. Kind of a nuisance going through pool area.
3--Beach attendants...we had no issues with the attendants. Wes and Luke were very helpful and professional. We did not like that umbrellas were touching each other and that you had to "force" your way through if you were on second row and wanted to get in the water. Second "rowers" also have no view of the gulf.
4---Central elevator was very slow and had no fan or ac....not a deal breaker for us.
We were extremely satisfied and look forward to booking through Shorey and Brooks again."

"Beautiful condo in a perfect location for family
We really enjoyed our stay at Okaloosa island! We have stayed at many different condos in the gulf area( mainly Destin) but will definitely be returning here. Check in process was easy, as was the check out. The little " extras" were very nice- we took advantage of the golfing and the movie rentals( great for the late nights with kids) We arrived around 10, and were able to check in by noon, - loved that! While waiting we were able to access the beach and pool so our first day was thoroughly enjoyed too. This third floor location was perfect for us- beautiful views of the beach, and able to watch the older kids at the pool and hot tub while our little guy napped. Had read some negative reviews of the beach staff, but out experience was fabulous! I talked to the guys the first day we were there and gave them the dates we were staying, our beach chairs were set up in about the same place all week long- I never had to wait in lines to grab a spot. No one wanted to leave, we are already planning another trip! Thanks so much for a wonderful, relaxing vacation!"

"Great place to stay!
This is such a wonderful place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Island Princess 309 is an up to date, clean condo with a wonderful view of the beach.
My only complaints would be that there should have been some paper towels in the unit, and there could have been better organization of dish cleaning supplies. Another complaint, which had nothing to do with the condo itself, was the loud neighbors who were smoking cigars and "weed" on their balcony. The breeze blew the smoke right into our balcony, and made things quite unpleasant when they were out there.
Overall, this was one of our better vacations, and is now listed on our list of favorite places!"

Waking up to the sunrise while waves break gently on the shore is just the beginning of a great stay. We enjoyed ourselves in an updated condo full of special touches. We were able to cook meals in the well stocked kitchen. The unit was clean and comfortable. The king bed was comfortable and I'm picky when it comes to beds. This was our second stay at Island Princess. We like the quiet area, yet it is do close to area attractions. The check in process was smooth and everyone was friendly. :) "

Loved the view from this condo, all beachfront. Location is great, very close drive to local attractions and Destin activities. Only thing I can think to complain about was the noise from the pool was annoying at times...I would just opt for a room further away from the pool next time, unless you have older children that you might like to keep an eye on from the balcony."

"Great View Great Beach
This was a great, low-key vacation with our daughter, her husband, and our two grandchildren. The proximity to the beach was great and the pool was right outside the unit but down three floors so the kids could swim with minimal supervision. The furnishings were very nice and the unit was pretty clean other than a lot of dust on the louvre doors and ceiling fans. Plenty of towels and paper products. The exercise room was a disappointment but with the beach so close it wasn't missed."

My husband and I went with our son and his family, we had a wonderful time the condo was beautiful the pool was clean, everything very relaxing. Be careful with the beach though my husband when he and my son and daughter-n-law were snorkelling came face to face with a bull shark. Very scary and very thankful that the Lord helped them back to the beach safely. Just be careful the beach has a lot of bull sharks. We hope to be able to go again next year. All the children had a blast."

Our stay was great, but we were a little disapointed that we could never get the internet working. We needed to get a little bit of work done and always had to go to a Starbucks to use the internet. "Very nicely decorated condo
This condo had the nicest decor of any I have stayed in and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. It is right above the pool which could be a little noisy at night if people were at the hot tub. Quiet time begins at 10:00 and the pool closes at 11:00
so it would quieten down by then. My only complaint was that the floor was dirty. I normally wouldn't have known, but I have a baby that was crawling and within minutes his knees and feet were black from the dirt. Overall my experience was very good. It's
a beautiful condo with everything you could possibly need. Just get the floors clean and it would be perfect!"

"Wonderful Vacation
The only bad thing about the trip was the beachthe smell was awful from the Algea and dead fish all over the place so we had to travel to Navarre to enjoy the beach.We won't go back in July for sure."

"This would have been the perfect vacation if only.... The little kids did not stay in the hot tub for a kiddy pool. We could not even get in there. They even had diapers on ever distrubing to a lot of guest.

"4th of July trip
I have stayed at the IP before and our previous room was in much better condition. The couch was dirty and fabric was coming off. Was unable to wash my infants bottles because a drain was not provided. Enjoyed the pool and two level parking. Great location. I would recommend the condo but not the room. "

We have stayed on brooks and shorey resorts for 6 years now and I have to say that was the worst room we have ever stayed in. The furniture had holes in it, the beds was very uncomfortable, my mom found a rag behind the nightstand that looked like it was years old. I believe for $420.00 a night the room should be a lot better. We have stayed at Holiday Inns that was alot better than that. We will be back in July. And we will stay at the Islander. I do pray we never have to stay there again."

"Spring Break 09
The main issue I had was when we got there there was a leak coming in from the condo above us. One bathroom was extremely wet. Water was dripping from above. We put towels down. I called the emergency line and the manager was unable to get ahold of the people responsible for the above condo. The drip lasted Saturday and Sunday. It was manageable but unpleasant. When you pay $2000+ for a 3 bedroom condo you don't really want water dripping from above. Although it was not Brooks & Shoreys fault (everyone was helpful and sympathetic) I still think I should get some sort of compensation. I have rented a condo from Brooks & Shorey the last 2 years. Thank you for your time."

I have a small child the floors turned her legs and feet brown from all the dirt, there was potato chips under the couch, paint was chipping off the walls,the elevator was extemely slow and out of order most of out stay. we have used Brooks and Shorey about 4 times before this stay and this will be our last time because we need cleaner accomodations"

"Worst room in 30 years of visiting Fort Walton Beach
The room was disgusting. There was mold growing in the sink, the couches were torn, there was sand on the floors and in the master bed. The bathrooms were dirty and one had a hole in the wall. I spent several hours of the first day cleaning the place up. I complained loudly and wanted my money back. I asked to be moved and there was some problem with that also. I think the room they wanted us to be moved to would only be available for a few days and we were there for a week. The faucet in the kitchen was DUCT TAPED together. I took pictures but recently deleted them because it had been almost a year since we were there. I figured if you didn't respond before that time there really was no use in complaining. My 9 year old daughter left a WebKinz stuffed animal on the bed. We called immediately and "it was never found" that is complete bull. I am sure a cleaning person or someone else associated with this terrible place took it. I would never return to this property. Just so you know - my family has been coming to Ft. Walton since my parents were married - 57 years ago. I have been coming every summer for my 52 years. I have told everyone I know, probably about 200 people or more, to stay away from this dirty, disgusting property."
