Thoughtfully appointed, spacious living areas with soaring ceilings combine to make ShipWatch an unforgettable island retreat. The main living area consists of a large family area with open window views to the ocean. A huge fully functional kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, utensils and tools for your convenience.

The massive dining room table easily seats ten. Additional bar style seating is also available. Access the private, screened-in picnic porch directly off the dining room through sliding glass doors. In the family room you will find a complete TV/DVD/Standard Cable package.

The first floor also houses the master bedroom with an oversized master bathroom. A large closet and huge armoire provide plenty of room.

Upstairs you will find another living area with large sofa, television/vcr, book library, game and puzzle center, two bedrooms and another full bathroom. Views from the second floor are absolutely fantastic across the entire Cape Fear River.

ShipWatch is ideally located on West Beach. This beach is easy to access (across the street) and is a large, spacious beach that is uncrowded. Most guests comment on the fantastic over-the-water sunset views. Many also comment that they (and their kids) enjoy watching the yachts sail by the house as they approach the Cape Fear River. Being a private home that is rented direct by the owner, we have the flexibility and interest in ensuring your vacation is fantastic.

Bald Head Island is a paradox. With no car access to the island, it is secluded. Yet, it is a tropical paradise with incredible activity options for your enjoyment. With no bridges or cars, the island offers unmatched safety, peace of mind, and relaxation.
