Casa Melissa in San Francisco

Watch dolphins and whales from the terrace of this spectacular private ocean front estate. Sitting on a point, Casa Melissa has a fabulous 360-degree views. To the north, west and south see the coastline of the Pacific ocean, with views of the palm jungle to the east. This estate also features a heated infinity swimming pool and private lighted tennis court. Just stay at home or walk the mile long sandy beach to town for many fabulous restaurants.

Beautifully appointed, Casa Melissa features four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a spacious covered terrace. And every room was designed to provide an unforgettable view. All bedrooms have remote controlled air-conditioning and ocean views, all rooms but one bathroom have ocean view and ceiling fans.

If your group is large or  if someone of the group wants a little more privacy, you can also rent our newly remodeled Casita bedroom suite. This free standing 5th bedroom suite includes its own bathroom and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, blender, and toaster. It has a large ocean view terrace overlooking the tennis court.

Rental includes daily maid service and a restaurant trained cook is available to prepare dinner nightly Monday through Friday. Casa Melissa is 1 km from the town of San Francisco (called San Pancho) and its mile long beach.

On the first floor of Casa Melissa you'll find an open floor plan, which includes the kitchen, dining room and living room, all opening onto the terrace and pool. The spacious covered terrace lets you sit in the shade while enjoying the view, the sunset or a good read. The fourth bedroom is also located on this level. Upstairs, each of the three air conditioned bedrooms has a unique view of the coastline, the palm jungle and the sea. And to make Casa Melissa as comfortable and familiar as home, you'll find a full kitchen, washer/dryer, satellite television, VCR, DVD player, air conditioning, CD stereo, Ipod docking stations, whole house water purification system and wireless high speed internet.

The Casita has a queen size bed, full bathroom and a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, blender and coffeemaker. It also has a large ocean view terrace that overlooks the tennis court.

Horseback riding, kayaking, snorkeling, bicycle riding, massage, yoga, a kid's camp, surfing, whale watching and sightseeing are available locally and can be arranged during your stay.

Yeyo and Isabel Rodriguez not only tend to the house and help you with your plans - they are great cooks. Yeyo has cooked for hotels and restaurants (including a sushi restaurant) in Puerto Vallarta and San Pancho. Isabel is an encyclopedia of authentic Mexican recipes. Choose a meal from their menu and they'll be glad to shop and cook for you.

Dining out can be what you want it to be. Drive to the luxury resorts of Puerto Vallarta or the Four Seasons Resort, or eat at one of several great restaurants in San Pancho, five minutes away.

If you like to have the flexibility of snacking at home, Yeyo and Isabel can stock up on your favorite foods. Many familiar American brands are readily available in Puerto Vallarta.

Policy

All rates quoted are for a maximum of 6 people using three bedrooms. Larger groups and rental of the fourth bedroom (which has air conditioner and is downstairs off the living room) would require additional rent of $200 per week. All amounts are in US dollars. The Casita ( the fifth bedroom suite) is available for an additional $350 per week).

Casa Melissa offers a variety of ways to enjoy the sun and the gorgeous weather of the the Pacific coast. Step out the door to bask beside the heated infinity pool with panoramic views of the ocean and the Mexican coastline. Or enjoy a trip to one of the many beaches nearby.

If you want to keep your workout in gear take a jog through the cool jungle trails or put your footprints down the mile long beach. Maybe you've never played tennis before. Maybe you're nearly a pro. In either case you will enjoy playing on the lighted court we have provided on site.

Tennis on a cool evening under the lights, a few steps from your bedroom will probably spoil you for the Park and Rec court back home, but then you can always come back to Casa Melissa for more indulgent living far from the cares and worries of life in these United States. Get the kids involved. Who knows, maybe the next Venus Williams is closer than you know.

The tennis court is made of an Australian product that plays like clay, but is ready for use 15 minutes after the rain ends. Great for early morning summer play! The surface is sand and artifical turf product. If you are a mature tennis player, your joints will feel like they are on vacation too when you play at Casa Melissa.
