Oceanfront Property! 402 E. Oceanfront (Upper) Vacation Rental Information

Add to Favorites

Located right outside the Balboa Pier area, this upper unit duplex is within walking distance of the Balboa Pier and the Fun Zone.  Taking a stroll down the pier, you will often see fishermen lining the railing catching an assortment of mackerel and flounder; at the very end, you will find the famous Ruby's Diner restaurant.  The Fun Zone is a coastal amusement park consisting of a waterfront ferris wheel, arcade games, a nautical museum and an auto ferry that will take you to Balboa Island.  Within the Balboa Village, there are a number of places to rent equipment for excursions, such as bicycles and rollerblades.  There is also a large, grassy area near here that is perfect for activities and picnics and further out on the beach, there is a playground right on the sand.

There are volleyball court pillars scattered every few blocks on the beach and if you bring along a volleyball net, you can set up your own playing court for a game.  At the end of the peninsula is the Wedge, which is a world-famous surfing spot.  Given the right swell, the Wedge can have up to 30 feet waves.  In this area, there is also a jetty and from viewing the crabs to walking along the rocks, these formations are fun to explore.  402 is equipped with a local phone, a television, a DVD player and a balcony BBQ.  This unit is available weekly, monthly or as a winter rental.

Close to all Southern California attractions such as Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Enjoy shopping and fine dining at South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island. Laguna Beach is just a short drive south on historic Pacific Coast Highway or travel north to "Surf City" Huntington Beach. Easy access to all major freeways.

Newport Beach, California is a world-renowned coastal resort area with miles of picture-postcard beaches and a 10,000-slip harbor that is one of the world's premier yacht moorages. The city is home to more than 70,000 permanent residents and the population swells to more than 100,000 in the summer. The temperate climate, with average highs in the 80's in the summer and the 60's in the winter, makes outdoor recreation like golf, tennis and deep sea fishing available year-round.

Beaches are as picturesque as their names - Pirate's Cove, China Cove, Little Corona and The Wedge--abound. They offer something for everyone: from secluded coves and tide pools to monster shore breaks. From the grassy greenbelt on the Avenue, you can sit and watch the boats sail by.

With two piers, several manmade islands--some home to millionaire industrialists and developers---a working ferry, a nautical museum, an arcade-era amusement park, and a fleet or dory fisherman who market each morning's catch in open-air stalls, the area has it all.

But it's not all play. Newport is also a Mecca for technology. When the business day is over, there is no lack of entertainment. Picking a restaurant can be a major chore--there are more than 300 of them in the city and hundreds more surround it. They range from casual beach fare to five-star gourmet dining.

Culturally, Newport Beach boasts the Orange County Art Museum with its collection of cutting edge art. The Orange County Performing Arts Center, with ballet opera and symphony, is only a few minutes away in Costa Mesa.

Newport Beach got its start when enterprising developers built the landmark Balboa Pavilion as a bathhouse in 1906 to greet those arriving on the Pacific Electric Railroad's Big Red Car. The Victorian-style building still stands, a visual connection between dreamers past and present.
