"Great complex and location, disappointing condo and bad timing
We have stayed with Seashore Vacations and at the Shorewood many times and Shorewood is one of our favorite places to stay. However, this particular condo we were disappointed in. The king mattress has deep depressions in it and very uncomfortable. The living room furniture, especially the sofa, is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The master bathroom cabinet doors do not stay closed and could stand to be replaced. The hall bath shower nozzel did not work very well and needs to be replaced. The light switch in that bathroom also has issues - sometimes it came on and other times it would not.
There was maintenance going on in other condos around us during our whole 2 week stay, which created lots of noise all day long and debri blowing onto our deck constantly, preventing us from using it. Also, we could not use the parking garage as planned because it was totally unavailable. We were made aware of this work going on one week prior to our arrival and had made reservations several months in advance. If we had known this would be going on when making reservations, we probably would have stayed somewhere else.
We will definitely rent through Seashore Vacations again and will most definitely stay at the Shorewood again but will be in a different condo. "

"2023 Sister Trip
The condo was very clean and in good condition. There were only a few minor repairs that needed to be taken care of, like the ice maker not working and blown lightbulbs. These things did not hinder us from enjoying our stay there. The condo was as described in the write up.
We have used Seashore Vacations for years and find them to have a very professional friendly easy to work with staff!
There were lots of families with small children, but the pool deck was large enough to accommodate without feeling crowded. We were four sisters looking for a place to spend a quiet relaxing week together catching up. This place definitely provided this for us. We will be coming again to stay here and eat at our favorite restaurant Skull Creek Boathouse.

"Shorewood 338
The condo was nice, fit our needs for our 4 person family. Location was good. The only draw back was it was near the public beach and the beach was just so crowded you felt almost claustrophobic."

"Room with a view!
We enjoyed Shorewood 338! We were pleasantly surprised with the view of the ocean from our balcony! The zero entry pool and walkway to the beach are convenient and easy to navigate. It is a 5 minute walk to Coligny to take advantage of shopping, eating and drinking. Yes the toilets are low but that shouldn’t keep you from renting this condo! Seashore Vacations couldn’t be easier or nicer to work with! We would rent this unit again!"

"I would have hoped we could have done better.
Th condo flat out was not worth over $2800. It was advertised as able to sleep 7. I’ll bet the owner, nor the management group, ever spent a night on the pullout couch. Also, we had 6 adults, and felt very cramped.
Another issue was the air conditioning. The condo felt very damp and clammy. This happens when the air conditioning unit is oversized. The air gets cooled quickly and the unit shuts off. The humidity never gets removed.
I know this is very negative. But I think people should be aware. We paid a lot of money and deserved better.

"First stay at Shorewood
You could tell that our unit was a rental. Every cabinet was over stuffed with extras previous guests left. There wasn’t any cabinet or closet space in the kitchen to put groceries. The floors were filthy. Our grandchildren were covered with ??? when they got up from being on the floor. After seeing how dirty the floors were, it felt like everything was dirty and full of germs. "

"Great condo
Condo was perfect for girls trip. Plenty of room, clean and an view of ocean. Nice complex and large pool area. Would certainly stay again. This was my second time renting through Seashore Vacations and they were excellent both times. "

"Good location, uncomfortable furniture
Shorewood is a good location, beachfront and nice pool and deck. The unit (338) is decent. But the furniture (including toilets) is very low...close to the floor. Uncomfortable. "

"Not The Best
We have stayed at Shorewood many times before, but was very disappointed with unit 338. The appliances are outdated. Coffee maker was nasty, only one kitchen towel, pots and pans were old and rusted. Overall cleanliness of the unit was not great. Bathtub had hair covering the drain. When we reported these things to the office, they didn’t seem to be concerned. "

"Nice Condo
There was 5 of us and we had plenty room. Great to have a washer/dryer in the condo. There was a long walk to the beach but that can be said for most places at Hilton head. The Beach was not crowded and it was close to Coligny for dinner , ice cream or shopping. All in all it was a good experience."

"Fall beach getaway
Management company was easy to work with. Thanks for allowing us to check in a little early. Unit was exactly as portrayed in the pictures. Nicely furnished with just enough decorations but not too many as to make it feel cluttered. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Very satisfied."

"Great location on Hilton Head
This unit is large enough to comfortably accommodate up four people. The unit has confortable beds and plenty of dishes and necessary kitchen items to cook meals if you choose to. There was only one dish towel which is not sufficient, but that is minor. The washer and dryer do work but need to be looked at, as the washer sounds like it's off balance when it first starts up, and you need to wiggle the dial on the dryer to get it to work. Minor fixes that can easily be addressed. We would use this condo again if we were to return."

"Shorewood rental week of August 18
Condo was nice for the most part. The first bathroom as you walk in however had a few issues. The toilet pressure seems low and required flushing several times. Also, the shower head needs to be replaced and the drain plug did not stay open causing the tub to fill up during showers."

"What a Great Place!
If you like the idea of coming to the beach and having an ideal place to stay... this is that place! Very nicely appointed villa with every thing you need. Was totally furnished and equipped and really clean. The villa had starter supplies of soaps & tissues which was nice. Our balcony overlooked the pool, beach and ocean. The kids love the fact that it was heated and enjoyed the heated Jacuzzi as well. Property is close to a shopping plaza were there were plenty of places to eat and entertain yourself. Seashore is a really great company. We have stayed with them 3 years in a row. We plan on making it 4 next year and we are going to rent this same villa."

"Comfortable
This is my second time renting through Seashore Vacations and my first time staying at the Shorewood building. I love the location, on the ocean and nead Coligny Circle. The room was comfortable. It was not as luxurious as my prior room in Ocean One, but we were still happy with the accommodations. I wish more sheets had been included in the room - we had extra pillows but no pillowcases for them, and no way to use the pull-out couch if we wanted to. Seashore was easy to work with and kept us updated about the situation with beach restoration, which was happening near us. We especially liked the push-button door locks - it made it so easy to go to the beach with nothing but towels and sunscreen! "
