"Great for extended family time
All rooms were absolutely beautiful and loved the huge beds in 4 bedrooms. PLUS the kid rooms and kid area. We had a total of 4 kids and a teenager and everyone loved their sleeping arrangements plus room to play. Easy to retreat to your own bedroom with private bathroom to relax and truly rest between beach and other activities. Such a great layout downstairs to enjoy the whole fam!!"

Home and Community was great. Port A Escapes Management Company was great! It would have been nice to get an early check-in and a late check-out even would have paid the $50.00 extra for the hour, however was advised it wasn't available. For properties this big, really need to be able to get additional parking passes and more than one golf pass. The House I want to say was for 12 people, so we had two golf carts and 5 cars. "

"It was decently priced
The house itself is beautiful
Pros: a lot of room. Kitchen was spacious with a lot of room for everyone to sit around together. The pools were beautiful and super close to the house.
It’s set up really nicely. We had kids on one side of the house and grownups on the other. With one master downstairs, it was perfect for Grandma.
Cons: the floor was really dirty.. like hadn’t been swept/mopped in quite some time. A coach roach crawled on me the first night and my mom saw a bug in her room the second night. There’s NO access to the beach. You have to drive to the public beach access. Unfortunately, my nephew accidentally left his airpods on his bed but we were told that they were never turned in by housekeeping. If I had to rate this house it would be 5 out fo 10 stars. "

"Gorgeous House but Parking was Terrible
We loved the house; great space and kitchen amenities. The parking, however, was horrible. New parking rules, if and when they will be enforced as stated, and which took effect two weeks before arrival, would be a deal-breaker for ever staying there again. The new rules only allow three vehicles to stay overnight. The three guest vehicles allowed must move at 10pm to the management's parking lot on the highway. Again, this is a deal breaker for a return visit. Stressing over parking does not make for a fun family vacation. I would only recommend this property to a friend if they have no more than three vehicles. "

"Disaster post Hurricane Harvey
Likely our worst stay in Port A, ever(I'm 62 and go to Port A 3-4 X Year)! Issues were noted upon access, then got worse. Cleaning was incomplete. Poorly maintained property - duct tape on a few places on the sofa and on a dresser holding the veneer in place, leaking coffee pot, light bulbs (1/3 or recessed bulbs didn't work), broken chair, inoperable outside shower, missing blinds in downstairs front window and BBQ grill(advertised & needed) did not exist. Friday evening -realized fridge wasn't working(never worked during stay). Old cable wiring was hanging off the roof, onto the deck. Prop Mgr Mentioning the hurricane, seemingly to justify the condition was inappropriate. Offering 25% off the rental, was ultimately inadequate, once the full extent of the condition was known."

"Family Stays-in-Port A
This is the 15th year in Port A, second in VW95. Our family loves the special memories we make every year. VW 95 is the perfect place for us. The adults have king size beds and the kids have places to spregad out. The gated community helps us feel at ease with the kids riding their scooters around. The pool is a relaxing place to "chill" after a day at the beach. We enjoy sitting around the bar preparing meals and the balcony is a welcome oasis. We are already making plans for next year!"

"House is Run Down
We stayed in this house two years ago and loved the fully stocked kitchen so we decided to go back again. We were disappointed how run down the house is. The shrubs were overgrown on the property making it difficult to get to the front door. There were also no house numbers on the property. They had been damaged and not replaced. The dryer did not work properly and we submitted a request to the property manager but it was not taken care of during our stay. The TV in one of the bedrooms did not work at all. And drawers in the refrigerator were broken. We notified the property management company of all these items so hopefully they can get these things taken care of before the next visitor "

In the 6 or 7 times we've used Port A Escapes, we've never had a wash cloth and hand towel left on the kitchen counter to use as a dish cloth and tea towel. I find this highly unusual and disgusting."

"VW 95
The cottage was very large and comfortable. The kitchen was well outfitted. The gathering area furniture left a lot to be desired. The sectional was uncomfortable and you felt like you were all lined up. The cottage was convenient to many activities. Not the beach. The pool was great. The maintenance men were the best. Each time they came out they were friendly, professional, competent , and patient. They are to be commended. We had a great stay and will be back again."

"Wonderful Stay
We had a great stay at Beach Bound. Our extended family was here for a week of our month's stay. The house was large enough to give all 11 our own space. The large dining area was well suited to our large group as was the counter seating for my husband and I when we were alone. A great home!"

"Not what we expected
Although this was a nice beach house, it hasn't been well takenough care of. The banisters on the stairs were loose, the air filter vent was hanging and the couch had tape where there were obviously holes. There were also huge flying roaches and spiders in the window sills and couch. On the plus side, it isn't far from the beach (but I wouldn't suggest having little kids walk to the beach) and there was plenty of room for my party of 14. The rooms, however, are not as big as they look in the photos. The bunk bed area is really cool. They are full size beds and there's a door that closes this area off. If you have teenagers, this area I'd perfect. The upside to this property is the location... close to everything. "

"Hubby's 75 Birthday
We had a fabulous week-end at VW95. We took our family of 13 to enjoy a vacation and birthday party. Everyone had plenty of room to move around with space to spare. The description was true to pictures and customer service was excellent. This is the second time we have stayed at Village Walk, yes I would recommend this location. We had the birthday luncheon at Fin's and they were very accommodating to a large party and the food & service was EXCELLENT!!!"

"Great time ....but we had unexpected house guests!
Everything was super overall! Great stocked and furnished home...great rooms, layout, location and Overall setup! We enjoyed it overall but the approximate 10 cockroach sightings was unfortunate! It creeped everyone out and made us a bit uncomfortable with a newborn sleeping in a bassinet on the floor too. We would rent again but you truly need to get this bug problem under control and I would ask before renting again. "

"May Group Trip
We had a weekend getaway with a group of friends and this house could not have been more perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked (tons of utensils, pots, serving trays, bowls, appliances, etc..). We even brought a crock pot and blender not knowing that they had several blenders and a large crock pot. I think we found that the only thing it didn't have was a pizza cutter! The A/C worked very well although it did take a few hours to cool down once we got there but once we were back from the pool it was nice and cool and stayed that way until we left. The house layout was really great, long and skinny with the living area in the front and all beds towards the backside of the house. The beds were very comfortable and everyone was satisfied with their stay. Just to note that the room with the two twin beds is actually an open room (no doors) and the blue king room and bunk room adjacent to it has doors. We originally had some girls slated to stay in the twin bed but due to the openness of the room they switched, which was not a problem. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that the neighborhood does not have it's own beach access (which we knew before booking). This is really OK for Port Aransas since you have to lug everything to the beach in a car anyways but it would have been nice to be able to walk back and forth for lunch. Overall it was a great stay and we had no issues with Port Aransas Escapes or the house!"

The condo is precious! It is large, modern, bright and open. The kitchen is so well stocked with dishes and glassware and serving items that you can entertain a large group. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. The floors on the lower level may have been swept, but they were not mopped well. That was my only complaint. "

"Christmas with the entire family
Our kids and grandkids from Alaska decided to spend Christmas with us again this year. We wanted to make it special because our oldest granddaughter is graduating from high school in May. There were six adults and six kids - 5 being teenagers. The house worked out perfectly!!! There was seating for twelve at the table. There were enough bathrooms for all four girls. And the best part - old grandma and grandpa were able to stay on the first floor without having to climb stairs!! The main living area was on the first floor. Close to the beach. Safe neighborhood. Clean and well equipped house. Excellent accommodations!!! And adequate parking for our four cars. "

"Beach Bound Bummed
High praises for Port A Escapes when booking the property, have previously used them in this same complex and was totally satisfied. will use in the future. However, the Beach Bound unit was not all we had hoped for! Upon arrival the downstairs didn't even appear to have been swept. Floor was gritty and the bottoms of our feet were black with dirt. When sweeping we swept up a huge "hair ball" that had apparently been there a long time! The LVR furniture was torn in several places with tape over the tears and it was not child friendly furniture store for young children. One family member said they saw blood stains on the sheets Abe the bath mat in one of upstairs bath was dirty. The refrigerator was very larger, but the ice ans water dispensers were not working and it had a drawer front that kept falling off because it was broken on one side. Upon arrival two commodes were not flushing correctly and we had to use a plunger to avoid overflows. There were several outlets that did not have the plastic covers which is obviously a safety issue! A very large cockroach fell from the ceiling right on to the couch. On top of all of that it rained the second day we were there and we Had to deal with a leak in the LVR/dining area. We called about the issues mentioned but no one ever came to check on our problems that we knew of; however, the Commodes either fixed themselves or some one came while we were out, but didn't leave a note in that regard. It was advertised to have 5 parking spaces but one side of the garage was not accessible,however, Sleeping accommodations were very adequate for our 14 family members. The location was convenient."

"Wonderfully stocked house, but...
We have 4 families (8 adults & 5 kids) & we loved the space. All the adults had a king sized bed & a private bathroom. The last king bedroom shared the bathroom with the kids room. The dining room table was large enough for all of us to sit & eat together. The house was stocked with wine glasses, margarita glasses, wonderful cookware, & sharp knives. The dishes were also excellent! My only complaint was the roach problem. They were spotted in every room & when I found one crawling across the bristles of my toothbrush, it was more than I could take. Yuck. "

We had a wonderful time and Beach Bound was perfect for the 12 adults who stayed there! Plenty of space, great balcony, location, etc.
Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!
(One small complaint - we had to exterminate two roaches, which was unsettling. Could have been the rain that brought them in, but I would recommend getting a bug man out there soon.)"

"Beautiful Home With Lots of Bedrooms
This rental was perfect for a weekend getaway for our extended family. Grandparents stayed downstairs with two families sharing 4 bedrooms upstairs. Although the descriptor lists this unit as a 5 bedroom, there are actually 6 bedrooms if you count the twin beds in the open area upstairs.
Lots of room....beautifully decorated....great kitchen, living and dining area...we had a wonderful time."

"Beachbound VW 95
This is the 6th Thanksgiving our family has stayed in Port A. This home was by far the best appointed kitchen we have had. Usually I bring my own pans and knives, but I didn't have to with this home. The adults and children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We rented for the month and the few issues we had were quickly handled by management."

"Family Fun
This is a great house for a large family! Kitchen is awesome with enough dishes and supplies to cook anything for everybody!We loved it. We never did get wifi to connect on our devices on first floor. Office staff were very nice however answering service not so much. When we called in the evening to confirm wifi code they told us to go to a coffee shop. Only other suggestion we have is maybe not turn air up to 80. It was so hot outside when we were there that it took 6 ours when we first arrived to get house to comfortable temperature. "

We have a very large family and the house was gorgeous, it accommodated all the children and adults. We felt right at home! There was more than enough of everything. "Nice Home But Not without some issues
My entire family goes to Port A every summer for vacation for a week. We had a wonderful time and the home is lovely and roomy but we did have a couple of disapointing issues. We did see several roaches the upstairs bed was broken so we had to find some other sleeping arrangements. One of the toilets broke on the last day of our stay. I would stay in this home agian we did have plenty of room but would like to have been notified of the bed situation."

My family and I had fun. The convenience store was very convenient. Of course the internet was a little low down but although that was down we managed to spend more quality time with family. "Easter Weekend in Port A
The house was great, it accommodated all 13 of us very comfortably! It was so nice being able to all sit down together at the same time and eat on that great dinning table. Decorated so nicely. Only draw back not being able to walk to beach, but with everything you bring to the beach, you almost need a car anyway! Would stay again:)"

"Wonderful
We had an amazing stay here! A few couples with children fit perfectly with everyone having their own space while plenty of room in communal areas like the living room and kitchen. The only slight downside was when taking out our trash we had to walk to a dumpster but it's not far at all. The view isn't great but we didn't plan on doing much scenic viewing anyway. The beach is very close and the house even has an outdoor shower nozzle to rinse sand off! Perfect for the kids. The pool is right behind this particular condo which was a nice perk too. The kitchen has all the utensils, appliances and cooking gear you could need! We loved it and are coming back next year for sure!"

"Spring Break March 2013
The house has a great floor plan and it is exactly as described. Silvia, the representative of Port Aransas Escapes is great and very nice to communicate with. She was very helpful from start to finish. We had a little trouble with the heating system the first night. Apparently, the builder accidentally wired the hvac unit incorrectly. The other draw back of the home is the hot water supply. The hot water runs out after 3-4 people use it and you have to wait until the hot water is replenished. The home is suppose to be built for 14 occupants. The hot water supply is insufficient. "

"Village Walk #95 is an awesome vacation house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is perfect for a large group - everything you need (and more)for cooking and dining in, wonderfully decorated for the beach environment, very roomy and comfortable family room and dining furniture, love the dining table that seats 12! It was great to all sit down at the same table for meals - plenty of very comfortable beds for sleeping. The only downsides are no boardwalk to the beach and no view of the water, but the wonderful accommodations help to turn those things into minor inconveniences. "

"Well equipped rental
We spent a weekend at this house, and found it excellent on all counts. It is the best equipped rental we have ever had. The decor is lovely; the bedding is luxurious. There are actually six bedrooms, not five as in the listing (they may intend to rent the one with separate entrance separately, but it was open to the rest of the house). The agency gave us the wrong instructions for getting there and did not know the password for the Wi-Fi, but otherwise were courteous. The only shortcoming is that there is no view of the surf, and no direct beach access (it is a short drive away), as the description states."

"Nice new house, but not as advertised.
The house was well equipped and decorated nicely. The WIFI was not working at all and when we called the management company were told various excuses none of which solved the WIFI problem. The property was advertised as beach view and if you are 6ft 6inch tall you might catch a peek at the beach from roof balcony. Also there is not beach walking access from the housing addition. It is about a mile walk to the beach down side of road. Construction is underway just two doors down on both side so area is messy with potential safety hazards if you have small children beware. Nice house but will stay closer to beach next time. "

"Overall good, but
The house was as advertised. Clean with an abundance of dishes, etc. The location was as advertised as well. (Not walking distance to the beach) We rented a golf cart to act as a transport and worked well. It is definately too far to walk and carry anything.
The only complaint I have has to do with a concern I expressed right after checkin. We were gathering to view some family pictures and needed wifi to setup the Apple TV. It was advertised as having WiFi and I confirmed before checkin. When we got there, we were unable to connect. I contacted the management company and was told that someone would be right over to fix the problem. We waited 2 & 1/2 hours and no one showed. By that time the office was closed so I called then next day and was told the same thing. After waiting over 3 hours, still no one or a call. I checked out the following day and told the staff about this and was informed "Yes I remember, I guess I should have followed up on that." My problem was not with the lack of internet (though this was advertised), but in the response to a problem. Maybe they did not think it was important enough to address, but we still waited around for someone to showup. At the very least, it was unprofessional. Given this as an example of responsiveness to problems, I would not rent again from PortAEscapes."

"Great weekend get-a-way!
The house layout, decor and roominess was 6 stars. Construction was just completed so there a few very minor messes (which was understandable and very minor). It was a little difficult to connect to the internet, which was fine because we did not want to spend much time on computers or other electronic devices. Highly recommend the house, it was more than perfect. It got amazing reviews from several families (even a couple families staying at another location)."
