Waikiki Beach Tower #3602 – 2470 Kalakaua Ave.

This spacious, centrally air-conditioned two-bedroom, two-bath condo (1025 square feet plus large lanai with table and chairs) has one of the most breathtaking panoramic ocean views in Waikiki, plus an unobstructed Diamond Head view from the lanai and a spectacular ocean view from main bedroom and living room. The extra-large lanai with table and chairs stretches the full length of the front of the condo affording wonderful outside dining opportunities, panoramic ocean and Waikiki shoreline views, and fabulous sunsets! Sleeps Max 4 Guests (including children 3+ years old).

Waikiki Beach Tower is in the heart of Waikiki — an easy stroll to many casual and fine dining restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Water sports and equipment rental equipment can be found just across the street at world famous Waikiki Beach which has a seawall that forms a giant, wave-free pool (excellent for small children).

RECREATION DECK CONSTRUCTION: Beginning November 6, 2023, the 4th Floor Upper Pool Deck, including the main pool, keiki pool, jacuzzi, BBQ grills, and cabanas will be closed for emergency water leak repairs. Work hours will be from 9am–4pm, Mon–Fri, and work is expected to last until July 2024 (subject to change without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances). During this time, other amenities located on the 4th Floor Lower Sun Deck, including the Fitness Room and Yoga Room WILL remain open. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.

For Daily Rentals, the balance payment is due 45 days prior to Check-In. For Monthly Rentals, the balance payment is due 60 days prior to Check-In. For Daily Rental reservations made within 45 days of Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations made within 60 days of Check-In, payment in full is required at the time of booking, and the Cancellation Policy, as stated below, will apply.

CHANGING RESERVATION DATES: If you need to change reservation dates, we will do our best to help make the requested change, subject to prior reservations. Date changes are not possible after the balance payment is due, other than extensions to the existing reservation dates. Any "date change" requested after the balance payment is due shall be considered a Cancellation of the original stay dates.

CANCELLATIONS: A cancellation becomes effective from the date that it is received in writing, by e-mail or fax.

For Daily Rental reservations cancelled more than 45 days prior to Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations cancelled more than 60 days prior to Check-In, there is a $100.00 USD Cancellation Fee. Your Down Payment will be refunded less this fee.

For Daily Rental reservations cancelled within 45 days of Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations cancelled within 60 days of Check-In, there will be no refund unless we are able to re-rent the property for some or all of the time you committed to and refunds may be less than the actual revenue paid. Best Ocean Front – October 2023
The Captain Cook folks were great to work with. Plenty of communication and simplicity in gaining access to the unit. I highly recommend them for providing great properties to enjoy.
This unit has one of the best possible panoramic views of Waikiki Beach. It’s difficult to describe or rate it other than it’s just fantastic.
The unit, as so many previous reviews referenced, is in need of being updated. The Waikiki Beach Tower is rated as a 4-star facility, but this particular unit falls short of that, but it could be. It is a clean and functional unit. A few basic startup supplies, kitchen related, would have been useful. Bathrooms had sufficient supplies.
In addition to the fantastic views, the master bedroom bed is very comfortable. You have plenty of hot water, the A/C works well without the need of ceiling fans, good wifi, entertainment devices, and there are beach related accessories, that made the beach visits enjoyable. Worry free Valet parking was a plus.
Overall, a great visit.

Our vacation rental was amazing. The most spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset, Diamond Head and the ocean.. the location was perfect! Down the elevator, straight across to the beach. FANTASTIC 4 night stay for our family of four! We would absolutely stay in this unit again if we visit Waikiki. Confirmation and check in was a breeze. Excellent communication and professionalism.
We had plenty of room in this spacious unit! Being on the 36th floor provided unrivaled oceanfront and Diamond Head views. Also, being high up allowed for the street noise to be muffled. The elevator speed was never an issue-we didn’t have to wait long to go up or down. The unit had beach chairs and bogey boards. An umbrella and small cooler would be a nice addition. There was an ABC store on the street right next to Eggs N Things restaurant which was adjacent to the Waikiki Beach Tower. And a McDonald’s on the other side. We didn’t eat at either place, but there are TONS of restaurants within walking distance.
We saw Steel Pulse at the Waikiki Shell and walked there too! Diamond Head trail head was an easy 10 minute drive from this location. Get there early as parking fills up quickly. We did the hike at sunrise. The park opens at 6am.
The beach is a very short walk across Kalakaua Ave! Lots of people watching-extremely busy as it was spring break, but we were able to find a place to relax. "

"Fantastic Views
This condo was everything as described and more. The lanai, with the views, was its highlight. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Beach, restaurants, shops and activities were all within walking distance.
The property manager was available and very responsive and helpful, as well as all the staff in the condo building.
I would recommend this condo.
Just one recommendation, we loved the refrigerator, but it is just a bit too big for the kitchen, but the ice supply was nonstop. The views far out weigh this minor obstacle.
This is a very comfortable place to stay. We did visit the Iolani Palace and loved it. Beach walking and swimming are right there to enjoy.

We were extremely pleased with the unit, especially the amazing patio and view. We spent hours outside enjoying spectacular sunsets, watching the surfers, sailboats, canoes, and tourists on Waikiki beach. The unit is clean and comfortable. "Fantastic resort, view and location. 5 Stars!
What a fantastic rental. How's unobstructed views of sunrises over Diamond Head or beautiful sunsets over the western side of the island sound. The modern kitchen is fully loaded and the living area has plenty of room to move about. Being on the 36th of 40 floors, we were slightly concerned about elevator congestion. This was never a problem. Each floor has only 4 rooms and each floor is somewhat separated by an outside breezeway. So the resort actually has 2 elevators for each side. It was like having your own private elevator. The parking has an optional valet service which we used each time. Quite fast and exceptionally friendly were all the valets. No need for beach/pool towels since they are provided as you walk out. The private gate that leads you right to Waikiki Beach is a nice touch.
The pool/hot tub are on the 4th floor along with a private patio/complete grilling area and fitness rooms along with private shower and changing rooms. As for nighttime, you are within the heart of Waikiki. A 10 min walk either way, puts you within numerous dining and shopping options. Although I will say that everything fills up quickly and most of the options are really short-staffed coming off of the COVID restrictions. Plan accordingly! As for Captain Cook Real Estate, don't wait. They were extremely communicative throughout the entire process, (delayed from 2020). The updates prior to arrival were spot on and the property manager answered all questions and concerns promptly. Overall, the Waikiki Beach Tower and Captain Cook were great choices for our family of 4.

"3602/Feb 21 Clean/comfortable, for the $ Everything should work
Family of 6 adults ranging in age from 50yrs-85yrs.Overall we were happy with our stay. Unit was in good condition except for a couple of exceptions. Foot stool on the lanai was ripped.Dishwasher leaked from the corner of the door, on the second day one side of the double sink in the kitchen plugged. I contacted Byron the property manager and he told me someone would be out the next day. When we got back the next day it wasn’t fixed. I text Byron again and he told me a different person would be over shortly to fix, he never showed up. It’s now Friday evening and I just gave up trying to get it fixed because if you can’t get someone during the week what’s the chance of someone showing up on the weekend and it was more of an annoyance and inconvenience as the other side still worked. The kitchen in this unit is very small if you want to do a lot of cooking, best utilized by 1 person at a time 2 max. But be prepared to squeeze past one another. Also with our party of 6 we had to run dishwasher between meals so we had enough clean platesGreat view of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head from the lanai. The other thing we didn’t like about the property is you have to make a reservation for the pool and hot tub and although I understand limited people because of COVID, it was upsetting to be told all reservations are filled up and there is no one using it. Instead of reservations I think a first come first serve system with a limit of x# would be better. Everyone’s plans change and it’s hard to say I want to use the hot tub tomorrow at 3pm. Staff at the property were all very pleasant and helpful. We split out vacation between this unit and a condo on Maui and we all agreed we liked the place on Maui much better for a number of reasons. Overall I’d rate this unit and our stay at a 3-3 1/2 stars, unit would be best suited for 4 adults or a family of 4 maybe 5 if kids are small. To be fair this property is very nice and"

"Amazing views
This was an amazing property with gorgeous views of the ocean and diamond head. The convenience of walking down to the beach and the fact that it had a well equipped kitchen sold it for us. A couple things is that there were beach umbrellas which was a bonus (in hindsight had we known we wouldn't have brought our sun shade tent for our toddler) and although the balcony is safe it is very high up obviously so extra caution.

There was a false fire alarm during our stay and walking down 36 flights of stairs was a challenge for both our five year old and 70 year old in the party at 11pm so another thing worth considering.

My recommendation is for a pair of scissors (couldn't seem to find a pair.)

Lastly, the only complaint and hesitation we would have in terms of rebooking this unit is that the elevator was really quite noisy...I'm not sure if this is normal or if there was something wrong with the doors opening/closing but it literally shook our unit each time (as it is right next door/attached to the unit) and made it quite difficult to sleep especially for whoever is in the bedroom adjacent to the kitchen. We mentioned this to the property manager on day 2 but they indicated it had never been mentioned before and it wasn't resolved during our stay so perhaps that is just normal but it really is quite noisy/shaky especially when trying to sleep. If this is resolved we would gladly rebook."

"Amazing Views
The condo was perfect and you can't beat the views. It was wonderful having all the accommodations of home while on vacation. The beds were very comfortable, we loved using the grilling area at the pool. The staff was very friendly. Condo had many surprises we did not expect with the beach chairs. The views from our balcony was amazing we loved the large porch to see the sunrise, sunsets and fireworks on Friday night. Thank you we can't wait to say here again during our next trip!!!!"

"Location, location, location!
Gorgeous views from the large balcony and excellent location! The rental process was easy, as was check in. The unit is clean, comfortable and large although a bit dated. But, honestly, we were in Hawaii, so didn't spend much time inside. The unit had all the supplies we needed including beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. WiFi and TV were perfect. All of the employees of the Tower/hotel were polite and helpful. Pool and pool deck were nice. There's a beautiful outdoor kitchen if you want to grill! Great restaurant for breakfast right outside the building's front door! We will return if we have the opportunity."

"Awesome View!!!
This was our third stay at the Waikiki Beach Tower. We love it there. The views of the beach, the ocean, the sunset, Diamond Head, and the Hilton fireworks on Friday night are priceless. Unit 3602 has comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Byron, our condo manager, was amazing! Very friendly, lots of great suggestions for restaurants, patient with our calls when the TV and an electrical outlet needed attention. He truly lives the aloha spirit! And the Aston staff (though not part of Captain Cook)at the desk and valet are very friendly and helpful. Especially Eddie at the valet stand! He is a true gem! Whenever we're in Waikiki, this is our go-to place. BTW, plan your vacation to encompass the Spam Jam and the May 1st Lei Day celebration to have an interesting, cultural, delicious vacation!"

"Superb views from Level 36
Spacious 2 bedroom apartment in a location that is very hard to beat. The property is right across the road from the children friendly beach and everything else like shops and restaurants are within a short walk. Morimoto restaurant and its more casual Momosan downstairs are great dining options and also just across the street. The staff at the property are very friendly and helpful. Our family two adults and two children under 7 found the size of the apartment ideal as there is plenty of room inside and out on the lanai. This was our second stay here and we will be back again."

We have to say that we would absolutely recommend this place to everyone. The views, location, self-sufficiency, cleanliness and overall condition of the property were first class. We would definitely look to return one day. The one minor issue was around the staff at the facility, once they found out that we were in 3602 (privately owned accommodation) they were not overly interested in assisting in any way. We had a small issue one night where we went to cook a Barbecue (on level 4) at 8-20pm. We could not ignite the BBQ so I went to reception to request for this to happen and they advised me that we were too late to cook, even though there were signs up in the BBQ area suggesting that the BBQ's must be concluded by 9-00pm, which we would have easily. I asked them to please ignite the BBQ's (at 8-20) and they asked for my room number, once they were advised of 3602, they advised that we were too late & there was no room for negotiation. I couldn't help but feel this was due to the fact that we weren't "Part of our facility" (which we heard from the staff on several occasions). I don't want this to dampen any of the great times we had, and as previously stated, we would definitely return, but maybe the purchase of a small BBQ for the balcony would enhance this great property further, or for anyone out there looking to stay at 3602...............maybe cook your BBQ at 6-00pm !!!!"

This is an awesome condo to rent on Waikiki!! We recently stayed for 2 weeks, and couldn't have been happier with the condo, and the view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. This is great place to stay with very friendly staff. We loved the work out area, along the pool/grilling space. I know this may be a little petty, but some good sharp knives would be a nice to have, along with a possible beach umbrella. Bottom line is you can't go wrong with this place. We are hoping to go back for a 3rd time next year!!!"

"One of the Best!
Location, location, location. This is the place! Right across the street from the beach, close to shopping, and restaurants. And the views are out of this world! Our Captain Cook contact (Byron) was busy when we arrived, but he remotely let us into the unit, and a short while later arrived to give us the scoop, and some recommendations on various things.

The unit had everything we needed, and we found the staff of the property to be cheerful and helpful. Maybe the elevators are a little slow, but that's about the only downside."

予約をした段階から36階のビーチフロントの部屋からの眺望はどんなものかと期待していましたが、期待以上の眺望に感動です。むしろ高すぎて初日は怖くてラナイの手すりから離れて景色を見るほどでした。左手にダイアモンドヘッド、眼下にワイキキビーチの全てが見える最高のロケーション。エレベーターを降り、玄関を出ると数歩でワイキキビーチ!最高です。また、以前泊まった様々なコンドミニアムの中でも最も早く車が出庫できたことも評価できます。これまではトランプ周辺のホテルばかりの宿泊だったため、ロイヤルハワイアン近辺のブランド店や飲食店が密集している地域からは若干離れている気がしますが、歩いて5~10分程度なので慣れれば問題ありません。
一点だけ残念だったのはシャワートイレでは無い点。あとは完璧でした。"

"Wonderful vacation condo
We all really enjoyed our stay. The condo is well equipped, centrally located and the view is outstanding. To be able to enjoying looking at Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the sunset from the lanai was the main reason why I rented here. The only major issue we had was the constant construction noise on both adjecent condos Monday thru Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm. We were never able to take naps, or even stay inside the condo during this due to the constant banging noises. There was a fire alarm that went off, apparently due to construction debris setting off the alarm, this was very difficult to deal with, especially for my mother having to walk down 36 flights of stairs. Safety first. We did notice the construction workers put tape over the smoke detectors in the hallway near our elevator. We mentioned this to a housekeeping staff member. It was a great stay, nonetheless.

"Great location and views in Waikiki
3602 Waikiki Beach Tower is great - its spacious, has the most amazing views and is in the perfect location for shops, restaurants, lagoon, beach and even the zoo. We really enjoyed our stay there. There is construction going on at the moment however - we had some bulding noise from 8am and the hall outside the apartment door is being renovated. We weren't told about this beforehand. Also, we weren't greeted by anyone from Captain Cook despite most other guests mentioning a personal welcome. The door was locked and we had to call Byron twice to get the code. I thought there might be a welcome booklet but apparently not - we figured out the wifi but found the showers a bit more challenging as the taps are very different from what we have encountered. The apartment was clean (apart from some dirty dishes in the dishwasher that must have been missed by housekeeping) and well equpped and the pool and pool deck are new and comfortable The only other thing I would mention is the very noisy airconditioning in the main bedroom, the system looks and sounds like its been there since the 1980's. Despite these minor issues I would definitely stay there again."

"GREAT WAIKIKI vacation
We rented for 5 nights at Waikiki Beach Tower from Captain Cook's Resort. It was a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry facilities. The first two nights were rough with the king bed in the master room because the spring of the mattress was poking into my back. I emailed the office and Petra immediately responded and unit property manager, Byron also called. They sent up a new mattress and box spring the third morning and was heavenly. They always emailed or called to make sure our stay was pleasant and things were good. Excellent resort to book through for Waikiki vacation. This is our second time booking through them for Waikiki and will do so the next vacation to Hawaii."

"Perfect!
My family of five just returned from our stay at this unit and could not have been happier with the choice we made. Upon arrival, Byron was there to make sure we knew where everything was and that we had all we needed.

The unit was very clean and had lots of towels and beach chairs/toys/etc for our use while there.

The location was perfect for walking just about anywhere on Waikiki Beach and the added bonus of having a parking space made renting a car and venturing out across the island a breeze.

The 180 degree view from Diamond Head all the way down Waikiki Beach was amazing. Every morning we would sit on the lanai and watch the sun rise (and set in the evening).

If you have the opportunity to stay at Waikiki Beach Tower 3602 you won't be disappointed.

Make sure you have breakfast at Eggs n Things, you won't regret it!

An absolutely beautiful property, with an exceptional 180 degree view of Waikiki Beach, from the unobstructed view of Diamond Head to the Honolulu Harbor. At 36 floors up, you could see everything. The experience will be one I will remember for the rest of my life. Byron did everything to make sure we were secure in our knowledge of the Unit when we arrived and was accommodating during our stay. "Completely Perfect!
Family of 4 stayed for a week. Honestly this wasnt our first choice initially but after spending our week here, can highly recommend apartment #3602. Its on the 36th floor with a view all along the coast. But its not just the views that matter, the apartment itself is absolutely spotlessly clean, has everything you need for self catering, and no noise from neighbours through the walls (just the street below which is to be expected). The new area on the 4th floor is beautifully renovated, but the beach is just across the road as well. Easy walking to all the great shopping, or catching the bus. Even better there is a Valet service for parking your car, and also for greeting you upon arrival no matter what time you get there. This is a huge bonus if you're like me and stress about arriving really early in the morning (as we did) and not being able to check in until 3pm. The Valet can look after your luggage:) Check in was easy and simple with only pin codes required rather than keys.
The only small negative Id mention is that the little things like salt,pepper,sugar are not supplied and you are given small bars of soap rather than liquid soap in the bathrooms. I think for the price you pay it would not hurt to include these things.
Byron was prompt and courteous with any questions we had upon arrival, thankyou!

"Great Location, Great Apartment
The location of this apartment is second to none with Waikiki beach at your doorstep. Waikiki shopping is right in your vacinity with a wide range of restaurants and eateries to choose from.
The apartment is roomy and very well kept - more than lives up to its photos. 2 bathrooms was very handy and the kitchen is modern with all the latest - including an ice maker in the fridge door. The balcony or lanai is quite large and we spent much of our time outside taking in the view - which is spectacular. Thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone."

"A Wonderful Stay in Apartment 3602 - Waikiki Beach Tower
We recently stayed for 9 nights at Waikiki Beach Tower in apartment 3602. There were four adults in our group, and we found that this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was exactly as it was presented on the Captain Cook website. We were meet by Byron from Captain Cook in the hotel’s reception and he took us on a tour through the apartment. The view from this apartment is spectacular - just like the photos. Furnishings were in very good condition and comfortable. It was very clean and well stocked with lots of bath towels, beach towels, additional pillows, linen and beach chairs. Dishwasher and laundry liquid was supplied for a week’s stay. We hired a car for our vacation and found it was wonderful to have our own onsite carpark. The only thing we had a problem with was the tap operation for the shower. Changing from a bath to shower was not an easy system to operate. We had not seen or experienced a system like this before. The lock system for the main door was keyless which meant that we all had easy access via a digital code – a great idea. The apartment is well set out and is spacious enough for four adults and all the shopping! We would highly recommend apartment 3602 and Captain Cook Real Estate for their professionalism and we look forward to staying again in this apartment when we return to Waikiki.

This place is absolutely fantastic ! Everything you need is within a short walk, except cheap groceries you'll need foodland for that. The unit was spotlessly clean and the young girl who brought us to the apartment was amazing and needs a pay rise ! Haha. "Almost didn't want to leave the condo!!
This particular unit #3602 was simply amazing! It is exactly what is advertised and the view is even MORE spectacular than the pictures. It is on the 36th floor and the only floors above you are the penthouse suites. This is by far worth every single penny!! All the supplies that were available were great; beach chairs, beach towels, extra blankets, the starter kits were enough for our 5 day stay. Breakfast on the Lanai was amazing, sunsets were so relaxing, we enjoyed staying in the condo so much we almost didn't want to leave! Its a great location for the families since the beach is literally across the street. You will have close access to the beach area that is blocked off by the waves as well as the area that is open to the waves. Every morning you will see the dozens of people out on the ocean having their surfing lessons. The Duke statue is less than a block away. Its great walking distance to everything and since its on the East side of Waikiki, you don't have to deal with the traffic when driving in, you just take a freeway entrance at the end and pass by the safeway (for cheaper groceries and also lenards for malasadas) The manager Byron was extremely friendly and showed us all the condo has to offer. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely use Captain Cook Resorts again! Mahalo for the amazing stay!"

"Wonderful condo and view
We stayed in Apartment 3602 for 3 nights in July 2016, 6 of us- one couple in the main bedroom, two singles(brother and sister) in twin bedroom, and one couple on sofa bed in lounge. The kitchen was well equipped, free wi-fi much appreciated, a smart TV, enough dining chairs for 6, beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, beach towels. Byron the property manager was helpful checking us in. We mostly ate in as very good cooking facilities and we had a rental car to go to a Safeway. Free parking great.We loved how close we were to the beach( lagoon)- when we wanted waves we walked further along past the Duke statue.There were also good shops nearby both ABC general stores and higher end shops."

We have stayed at this complex many times but it was our first time in this condo. Great location and amenity. The condo itself has had some improvements with upgraded TVs but the beds (main bed in particular) and pillows were average and need replacing. No one from the management company met us for checkin just directing us to the room and saying door is open. If we hadnt been to the complex many times previous this would have been poor, but for us being familiar it was OK. Overall a great stay"

"I love this place
This unit is amazing. I have stayed in other units of this same building and this one is by far the BEST. The beds are very comfortable, everything is super clean, they have soft towels for the baths, etc... and the view is unbeatable. We stayed at the Hyatt down the street last year and was miserable... After finding unit #3602 I will not stay anywhere else. We worked with Paul from Captain Cook and he is amazing. He met us at the property to let us in, stayed to make sure we were satisfied, asked if we needed anything else in the unit, left and then came right back up when I called him about a minor plumbing issue which he made sure was resolved immediately. They are a great company to work with and I look forward to staying in the unit again when I return to Waikiki."
