"Amazing views!
Remarkable views from every room- and on the 38th floor, it was our quietest stay in Waikiki so far. Very clean, modern, and enjoyable. Property is well located and safe. We felt lucky every time we turned around and had another set of windows to see the ocean, Diamond Head, and the mountains. The only downside was that the photos showed a tennis court on the property (this doesn’t exist anymore, it’s a turfed area with lounge chairs and picnic tables), and we packed our tennis racquets with plans to play tennis all week. The property manager didn’t have a solution to that when we called about it. Although the promise of a tennis court was a big part in our decision to book, we would probably stay again because it was such a lovely condo and with views that truly are unparalleled."

The condo has fantastic views from every room.Supplied with most of the essential such as flatware,dish soap,etc.ToTo toilets were great.Furnishings could be updated as well as some of the cabinets and flooring. Master bedroom mattress should be replaced. Unit was pretty clean. I would stay again. Should be update to deserve the daily price. The building and common areas are 3 star level. Parking was easy and property manager was great."

"Waikiki Sunset - Amazing
Waikiki Sunset PH3807 was an amazing place with sensational views of the beach, Diamond Head and the mountain areas. It was 180 degree views that we could not have even envisaged when booking the apartment.
Byron was very accommodating even when I contacted him at the last minute as I forgot to read the original email.
Overall this was a great experience and close to everything which made it easy for myself, parents and 2 lovely kids.

"Great Vacation Rental
Our family had a great experience from the time that we booked to the time that we left. Was a nice touch to have the property manager meet us on site. The views could not be beat here and we loved the location so close to the beach. Easy access to most of Waikiki. Parking was a little clunky but best part was that it was included in the rental for us. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back."

"Needs serious repair
When staying at a condo that costs $650 a night I expect it to be in good condition.
The views were spectacular and the manager was great, however::
Rotting walls at windows were unsightly, dirty grout in showers in tub, nail holes in bathroom walls that had not been repaired, cheap vinyl covering on cabinetry that was peeling off..
Terrible smelling refrigerator such that we could not use it.
The owner owes it to his clients to put a little money in this outdated apartment if he wishes to charge this much."

"Says the guy in the Penthouse
This review is after having stayed 3 times now in this suite, short answer - it's a great balance between good value and high style for adults. The whole suite is zen-like with views that are truly unmatched by most all the hotels in Waikiki. Having windows that face all 3 sides of Waikiki is awesome. The sunrise from the master suite is breathtaking. The suite is very corporate/minimalist which I really like (this is not a suite for small kids, lots of sharp edges).
The master has a king bed, the spare room has 2 twin beds, so for older kids or travelling with adults, the net bed count is 3. For wealthier folks who are accustom to Vegas-style high end suites, this has the high-end feel; although the hotel and its hallways are well worn. So, staying here is having a 4-star room in a 3-star modest hotel. But ooh that room! Both bathrooms have Japanese heated toilet seats (nothing quite like having a warmed seat for the 1am bathroom call). There is a stacked washer/dryer in the hall bathroom. Master has a shower; the hall bathroom has a tub with shower head.
The hotel and hallways are worn, but the PH (penthouse) floor is quiet, and once inside the suite, you will immediately forget everything outside when enjoying the view through the floor to ceiling windows. The AC acts as neutral noise for those seeking absolute quiet. You are in Waikiki, so city noise is unavoidable. You could pay the same price for a single small room in a higher end hotel, but the quality of your in-room time would be completely different. This suite lets you enjoy the views of Waikiki day or night. Its like an immersive TV with Hawaii playing. So, even though you’re inside, the views prevent you from being anywhere else but in Hawaii. The room itself is a vacation unto itself.
Cons, like everywhere on Hawaii, there are the micro-ants, and occasionally a roach. It’s Hawaii, and that is how Hawaii is, even in high end places.

"Dream Come True... Wow!!
The condo was everything you could have wanted and more. Conveniently located to the beach and downtown Wikiki. Great restaurants and fantastic shopping right out our door. The view was even more than we could have asked for! Fantastic, fabulous, awe inspiring and completely wonderful are words that doesn't even scratch the surface of how great our experience was. The condo was clean, neat and well appointed. Our "down time" (when we just had to rest!) was very comfortable and the washer/dryer was a well used surprise. Thanks for such a fabulous "Dream Come True" vacation experience!! Our property manager was top notch and very attentive to all our needs and we enjoyed making his acquaintance."

"Amazing views... not much else to write home about
The views lived up to the hype but everything else about the unit was underwhelming. Considering the price paid I expected the unit to be in much better condition. The rest of the building is in major need of an upgrade. The property manager was not all that accessible in the few chances I tried to reach him and I had to wait over an hour to access the unit as it was not clean."

Our family of 5 had a great vacation in Waikiki because this apartment was so fabulous and nice. The view is unbeaten. You can see both Diamond Head and the ocean, which is a beautiful blue color. The apartment was spectacular with plenty of space, 2 great bedrooms and 2 full baths. Fully equipped kitchen. Building has nice covered garage and a pool with barbeque area. Walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again! "

"Roomy with fabulous views - best for 5 or less people
This unit is located in a quieter side of Waikiki but is still only a 1/2 mile walk to the International Marketplace.
The unit is best suited for 4 or 5 people. The 5th person would need to use the sleeper sofa. The seat and back of the sofa comes together to form the "mattress". My wife and I both took turns sleeping on it, and we both found it rather uncomfortable.
Here are some pros and cons.
Pro: penthouse located on the 38th floor
Con: elevators are relatively slow
Pro: community pool
Con: no Jacuzzi tub available
Pro: parking is included
Con: will need to bring the parking pass back up to the room after checking out and exiting the garage
Pro: garbage chute located right outside unit
Con: no recycle chute available
Pro: beach gear available in unit: chairs, towels, snorkeling gear, umbrella
Con: beach umbrellas are not wind resistant
Pro: fabulous views from the unit
Con: no lanais available on this floor
Overall, we enjoyed staying in this unit because of the roominess and views and would stay here again."

"Incredible Views! Location was awesome.
We stayed 4-days/North Shore. 4-days/Waikiki (This Location). The views and accommodations were amazing. It had everything that our party needed (two 30-something couples). Walk to the beach was within five minutes, went to Waikiki Beach for sunset every night then went to dinner. Great options very close. Laundry was nice to have. Beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear was bonus. Wendy with Capatain Cook (reservation company) was awesome and very helpful. Did late check-out the day before - made it easy.
THE ONLY downside was our property manager Byron W. was a poor representation of the company. Said he would help us with anything we needed. Only had one question about late check-out - never received a call back. Very poor communicator. Did not confirm any of our calls, dates for keys, etc. I had to call him multiple times, never responded back once we checked-in. Wendy saved the day. Wasn't going to let that ruin the trip, but they should seriously consider who they hire for those positions because it impacts people's trips if they are unable to get a hold of a point of contact, especially when that is a advertised feature.
Place, location, entire vacation was awesome.

This apartment was clean, well-equipped, quiet with a washer & dryer + parking. It was in walking to the beach and restaurants and downtown shopping. Best of all was the view from this 38th floor PH! Floor-to-ceiling windows provided front views of the ocean, side windows viewed Diamond Head, rear bedroom windows the mountains and frequently a rainbow would appear! The apartment while large and comfortable was beginning to become a little shabby with peeling cabinets in the kitchen. In need of a little refurb."

"Family Christmas Vacation
Perfect location and stunning condo made for a wonderful family vacation. Condo was spacious, clean & beautifully decorated. Felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. The view was AMAZING! Views of Diamond Head, ocean, city, Waikiki Beach - what more could you ask for? We were even lucky enough to see a whale from our condo one morning. The condo had everything we needed from linens to cooking utensils and appliances. We ate most of our meals in the condo and it was no problem to prepare meals in the kitchen and enjoy the beautiful views. It was like having our own ocean-front table. All of the beds were comfortable, even the fold-down sofa in the living room.
Location: Very short walk (5 min) to the beach, close to all of the shopping and restaurants that only Waikiki can offer. Most of the tours offered on Oahu will pick you up right from the front door of the Waikiki Sunset.
This was our fourth trip to Oahu and we have dealt with the staff at Captain Cook for three of those trips. Very professional, friendly and eager to ensure that your vacation is memorable. I would definitely book with Captain Cook again and we would absolutely stay in the Waikiki Sunset PH3807 again. Highly recommended.

Penthouse was perfect except for the fact that the 2nd bedroom had 2 single beds. It is possible these days to convert 2 beds into 1 and as we were 2 adult couples with 1 baby would have been nice to have done this. "A view from the sky
Phenomenal sunrise to sunset views. You can see helicopters flying at the same level as the condo, so you get to stay in a nice condo at a level that others pay a pilot so they get a bird's eye view of the island. Funny observation from my MIL: When we went to hike diamond head, my MIL opted to hang out at the bottom because she said there's no way the view at the top would be better than our condo. Point taken!
Each bedroom is very spacious. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler in the space and did not feel crammed at all. It was nice to have a full kitchen and dining space. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. Dishes, cookware, coffee maker and corkscrew. There is a bar to sit at while others cook. Much more relaxing than the stress (and cost) of trying to get two adjoining hotel rooms.
Wifi was strong and reliable during our stay. We had multiple iphones/ipads and laptops online at the same time with no complaints. I believe there was an issue getting the chromecast to stream one night, but then we remembered we were in paradise so we went outside to walk around.
The building location is walking distance to everything in Waikiki. There are lots of beach gear in the closet, so you can take those things and conveniently walk to the beach from the condo. The building is a bit older, you can see the age on the common space, but it is maintained just as well as any of the other buildings. ABC stores at every corner, so you're never far from any necessities.
The folks at Captain Cook were very nice, professional and responsive. You can tell they care very much about helping you make the stay enjoyable Very very very happy with the memories we made there. Mahalo!"

Me and wife, son and bride stayed for their wedding. End unit of penthouse offers panorama view of ocean, Diamond Head, and Ko'olau mountains, decent floor plan is ideal for two couples. Wife Jun loves cooking using local ingredients and kitchen, she did enjoy.
We found keypad entry system is secured & convenient, and smartphone apps helps.
From reservation to check-in, Japanese language was always supported.

"Great Condo
Condo was exactly as shown in the rental description and pictures. It is actually bigger than it appears in the pictures and the view from any of the windows is incredible. The master bedroom/bathroom is huge and very private from the rest of the condo. Kitchen is fully equipped and the clothes washer and dryer was very convenient. We were in Honolulu for daughters wedding and is was perfect for the bride and her bridal party to use for getting ready for the wedding. Very close to the beach and many hotels and restaurants. Overall an excellent place for a small group to stay and to get away from the crowds along the beach strip."

I stayed with my family and my parents during my sister's wedding. The property was clean just as described in the photo and has an awesome view! Had a little bathroom issue where there was a clog in the tub and called the property manager, he arranged the plumber right away and fixed the issue promptly. Had all the amenities like dish washer liquid, detergent for the wash machine, and soaps. Very comfortable stay. I would stay there again!"

First of all, thank you very much for captain cook which offered us such a great place to enjoy during our trip. Thank you very much for Byron who showed professional and great customer service during our stay.
This condo is on the top floor of Waikiki Sunset building, and has 270°great view. It is very near kuhio ave, where you can find lots of stores and restaurants within 5 min walk. If you walk along paoakalani ave, it's just 3 min walk to waikiki beach.
The whole condo is clean and modern style, exactly the same as those pictures show, or even better.
There are 4 beach chairs and about 2 sets of snorkeling mask which you can borrow.
Overall our family of 6 really enjoy our stay @ PH3807. The view is unbeatable! We watched the ocean, diamond head, sun set, sun rise, and even a rainbow from the floor-to-ceiling windows. You won't regret if you choose this condo for your trip @ oahu."

"Hawaiian Wedding Holiday
We traveled to Hawaii for our daughter's wedding. The accommodation couldn't have been more perfect. The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in our condo and it was wonderful. The view is truly spectacular. It has to be seen tobe believed. The condo itself is lovely with lots of room. The two bathrooms are very handy and it is nicely appointed. One negative comes from my son who slept on the sofa for the week and found it fairly uncomfortable and quite hard, but my bed was very comfy. It's fairly easy to get around, a good walk to the main part of the beach and restaurants but taxis, buses and trolleys are there if you can't be bothered walking. I can highly recommend this apartment, we loved our stay."

This unit has everything you've asked for! From the amazing views of diamond head and Waikiki beach, to spectacular amenities provided in the unit! The manager is very informative during your check in. We had no problems staying at this unit for all 6 nights! Very spacious, very clean, and very relaxing as you get your free parking pass during your stay. The rooms are well maintened, they provided snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and umbrellas which saved us money from purchasing! The dining table with view of Waikiki is just amazing! I would definitely go back here again! Best penthouse suite in Waikiki! "Awesome Oahu Family Vacation
We took our 3 sons for their first trip to Hawaii and had a wonderful time! The condo was beautiful and exactly how the pictures portray .. waking up to these beautiful views was phenomenal!! The condo was very clean and very well kept!! The walk to some of the Waikiki shopping and dining was a little far with 3 kids but a quick cab ride that cost under $10 was easy to catch from the condo and saved us on a couple nights when the kids were tired from all the beach activities!! Can't wait to go back!!!"

Perfect place with a corporate kind of modern vibe. Went there to work and unwind - and wow did I have the "I hate to leave" blues. It was that nice. I found myself wanting to take 1 more look before leaving; I walked out the door exactly at the check-out time to ensure I could enjoy every second. 2 easy blocks from the beach, and a perfect 1 mile walk to Leonard's for a morning malasada each day. The views are spectacular. I find myself thinking I should give it a horrible review so it's available to me next time, it's that nice. Aloha."

"Awesome views, clean and immaculate
The condo is just as it is pictured, and in tip top shape. The views are floor to ceiling and are just amazing. It also came spotlessly clean, and the furniture and everything in the unit was in perfect condition. The only caveat is that when we stayed, the weather was very windy, and while we did not experience any issues with the wrap around windows, there was some noise from the wind. The other parts of the building are in rather shabby condition, such as the elevator and lobby. However, when you arrive at your unit, you've arrived in paradise. The pool is a bit small, and was very windy when we were there. The property manager was particularly helpful when we needed his assistance in retrieving items forgotten after we checked out. Overall, it was an excellent unit and one that we would recommend highly and would love to return to one day."

We had a magnificent stay at this penthouse. You cannot beat the views. From the main living area you have an unobstructed view of Waikiki Beach as well as Diamond Head. Both bedrooms also have magnificent mountain views. The decor is very tasteful and uncluttered. Our family of four adults and one infant was very comfortable. You are only one block away from Kuhio Avenue and two from Kalakaua where all the hustle and bustle are. There is also a Safeway less than a 5 min drive away. For the location and view this penthouse is a great value. We did not want to leave and would definitely stay there again. "

"What a Wonderful Penthouse!
The property was exactly as described. It was clean and well maintained. The location was amazing! The penthouse was great for 6 people because it had tons of room and the best part was the key pad on the door so we didn't have to sort out who had keys etc. Really convenient.
The place was about 2 blocks from the best and restaurants in Waikiki. I would highly recommend this penthouse to anyone looking to visit Waikiki."
