Pelican Beach Resort has more amenities than any other high rise in Destin. It is a first class resort. My rates are below the resort rates and any other real estate company. This unit is the much sought after "Dolphin Unit". It is located direct gulf-front with two balconies, it is a corner uniton the seventeenth floor. The views are spectacular. I also have a first, fifth, and seventh fifth floor unit that are "Pelican Units". And three one bedroom two bath units (eighth, sixteenth, and twentieth floors). All have unobstructed coastline views of the water. The units are beautifully decorated. I have been self managing my units since the building was built in 1997. I offer nightly or weekly rates, and have snowbird rates in the winter.

The resort is located in the Heart of Destin across from the Big Kahuna Water and Theme Park. The resort has security at the entrance, covered parking, two tennis courts (at no charge), movie rentals at the front desk, a game room, a restaurant/deli that serves pizza, sandwiches, etc., and also sells beer, wine, etc. to go. It also has a tiki bar overlooking the beach, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, a baby pool, a large outdoor pool with a waterfall, jacuzzi overlooking the beach, beach umbrella and chair rentals, barbecue grills overlooking the pools, workout facility with steam room and sauna (at no charge), and the most beautiful white sandy beaches and emerald green water in the country. The pool, Jacuzzi, and workout facility at the Terrace is also available for your use. The pool there has full sun all day, and the Jacuzzi is attached to the pool, and heated year round. Sorry, No Pets Are Allowed on the Resort.

There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby. Do not miss the Donut Hole for breakfast and the Back Porch for lunch or dinner. Both are landmarks in Destin. Silver Sands, a large factory outlet mall is seven miles east, for those rainy days (if there are any). The brand new Destin Commons outdoor shopping mall is at the corner of the Mid Bay Bridge and 98. It has a huge movie theatre complex, Hard Rock Cafe, Bass Pro Fishing shop, Johnnie Rockets, and all the mall shops you have come to know and love in a beautiful outdoor setting. Fort Walton Beach has a new pier to fish off of that is wonderful. Deep sea fishing is right up the street! Destin was a fishing town before it was anything else, so you can come home with quite a catch. You can take a ride down 30-A to Seaside for some sightseeing.

Or you can check out the new area in Sandestin Resort called Baytowne Wharf - lots of shopping and great restaurants overlooking the Choctowatchee Bay. Located eight miles east in the Sandestin Resort on the bayside-don't miss it. For the kids there is bungee jumping, dune buggies, go carts, and a water park right across the street. For the little ones there is a great amusement park a couple miles east on 98. If you want to feel like you have really gotten your money's worth, and have never been to Destin, now is the time to go. No matter how long you stay, it is never enough.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• ANY cancellation on or before the 30th day prior to the agreed upon check in date shall result in the forfeiture of the $10 reservation fee and the $300 initial deposit.
• Cancellations after the 30th day prior to the agreed upon check in date shall result in the forfeiture of all money paid unless you have purchased trip cancellation insurance.

OCCUPANCY:

• The maximum number of guests per condominium is limited to the actual sleeping capacity for that unit. Children under 2 years of age do not apply. For your comfort, bunk beds and sofa beds are not recommended for adults.
• Panhandle Getaways will not rent to persons other than families, married couples, and adults who are 25 years of age or older, without prior written consent of Panhandle Getaways. The renter must closely and personally supervise all occupants of a property under the age of 25 years. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to loss of rent and/or eviction.

RENTAL PAYMENT & FEES:

• We welcome MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Checks are accepted for advance reservations (21 days prior to check in). If making your reservation within 21 days prior to arrival, it must be made by credit card.
• Advance rental payment (at the time of booking) is $310, $300 is applied toward your rental amount, and $10 is a reservation fee charged on all reservations. If you buy trip insurance, that is due at the time of booking also. Balance is due 21 days prior to arrival. If making your reservation within 21 days of arrival, payment is due in full at the time of booking.

SECURITY DEPOSIT PROTECTOR:

• A Security Deposit Protector provided through AIG Travel Guard is included in each reservation at a cost of $45. This is completely optional! It covers you for up to $1500 worth of accidental property damage during your stay. This program allows us to address necessary replacement/repair issues in a timely and efficient manner. This is a non-refundable fee. Intentional damages or those in excess of $1500 are the responsibility of the renter. Your rental balance must be paid in full 21 days prior to arrival or at the time of making the reservation if within 30 days of arrival. This protector does not cover additional cleaning that may be required. If you opt out of buying this insurance, then at the time of departure, if there are any damages to the property, your credit card will be charged and you will be notified of those charges. Please report any accidental damage to us prior to your departure.

VACATION RENTAL PROTECTION:

• We are pleased to offer Vacation Rental Protection insurance provided through AIG Travel Guard to cover your vacation investment. This is 100% optional, but if decide not to take the insurance and there are unforeseen problems and you have to cancel, then you may lose 100% of your investment. We recommend this plan to our guests to cover financial loses that may be incurred if you must cancel or delay your vacation due to covered unforeseen circumstances, illness, or interruption due to a named hurricane. All questions should be directed to AIG Travel Guard at 888-409-7749. The cost of the insurance is 7% of your total trip cost, which is 100% refundable for covered reasons. The insurance is underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA., a Pennsylvania Insurance Company (NAIC #19445), with its principal place of business at 70 Pine Street, New York, NY  10270. National Union is a member of the AIG Companies and is currently authorized to transact business in all states and in the District of Columbia. The Policies will contain reductions, limitations, exclusions, and terminations provisions.

CONFIRMATION:

• You will receive a confirmation letter after we receive your advance payment. Please contact us immediately if you find a discrepancy, otherwise it will be assumed correct. PLEASE verify arrival/departure date, reserved accommodation, rental amount due, number of persons to occupy the property. We make every effort to ensure that the unit reserved remains the same, but we reserve the right to relocate you to an equal or better unit.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:

• Check-in begins at 4:00PM. Due to our high cleaning standards and peak season check-in days (especially Saturdays), some condominiums may need a little extra cleaning time and check-in may be delayed. We appreciate your patience as we prepare for your stay. On the other hand, if the unit is cleaned upon arrival and you are early, you may occupy the unit at no additional charge. This must be OK’d through Panhandle Getaways prior to your arrival.
• Check-out is at 10:00AM. Failure to comply may result in a late check-out fee as much as an additional nightly rental charge.

DEPARTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Please leave the condominium reasonably clean and in damage free order. Additional cleaning charges may apply if the unit is not left in reasonable order. Please start the dishwasher upon departure, clean off all food from kitchen utensils and cookware. Trash must be secured in a plastic bag and disposed of in the conveniently located trash chute on each floor. Please gather all bed linens and towels and leave on the bathroom floor upon departure.

FURNISHINGS:

• All of our rental units are privately owned and decorated to the owner’s personal taste. You may view photos of each of our units on our website.
• The following items are provided in our condominiums: We supply a start up supply of soap, toilet tissue, and dishwashing detergent. Some units are supplied with shampoo, sponges, and sewing kits. Please note that this is a start up kit, you will need to replenish your own supplies during your vacation. Bed and bath linens, blankets and pillows are all provided. All kitchens are fully equipped.

PETS:

• Pets are allowed in our units marked pet friendly only. There is an additional pet fee that must be charged for anyone bringing a pet, otherwise the stay with the pet was unauthorized. A pet, or any evidence of a pet found on the property, that was not previously disclosed by charging you the pet fee, is cause for eviction and forfeiture of rent.

SMOKING POLICY:

• Smoking is not permitted in any of our rental units. Violation of this policy is cause for eviction and forfeiture of rent. Additional cleaning charges will apply if found in violation.

HURRICANE POLICY:

• When there had been a mandatory evacuation in the area in which you are staying, and you have purchased the optional trip insurance through AIG, then all money will be refunded from the time of the evacuation forward.
