On arrival to the house we could not believe that finally we made it. The pictures on line don't begin to tell the real story of this beautiful home. The living and kitchen area was so spacious and the sleeping accomidations were right on as we had 12 adults and 6 children. The home was cleaned and ready for us, the kitchen had everything you needed to make a meal and there was ample linens. Having the wash machine and dryer was an extra bonus and we soon figured out that we brought way too many clothes. The weather kinda messed up time on the beach but we got lots of use in the private pool and the kids swam in the rain and we adults enjoyed the patio area and the balconies. Parking was never an issue.
Going to the beach was a family affair and everyone had to bring back what they carried over, the beach and water was the highlight of our day the kids boogie boarded everyday and soon the parents were trying to use the boards. We could walk out a very long way and we snorkeled and dove for sand dollars. We seen stingrays, crabs, and we think a bull shark not real sure.
It was easy to walk to some resturants and the Whale Tail was good for a beach side drink, we enjoyed eating at the Crab Trap but go early or late because it seemed to be a very popular family restaurant. On a rainy day we went to the Harbour and shopped at the outlets.
This was the first time coming to Destin and we personnaly loved being on Mimamar beach it was not as crowded and we felt like we had our own private beach.
It was discussed within our group that we should do this again and Coco Cabana will be where we will always stay.
John and Joy made planning our vacation from the beginning to the end very simple and we were not disappointed.

Oh My Goodness!! What a great time!! This house was the best thing on the island! We had 12 adults, 7 children and we had room for everyone! It rained a lot of the time but we always figured out something to do. Going to the beach with all our things was a chore but we had lots of people to carry our beach things. The kids loved the pool and our 2 year old learned how to hold his breath under water. We hope to do this again real soon! Hated the Gulfs June grass....ick!! But thank you for a great time!!

A family of 20 people - 8 adults and 12 children visited 59 Alamo St this week. Everyone enjoyed every minute of our stay. The Gulf water was warm, the house was large enough even for our large group! We loved going to the beach in the morning & the pool in the afternoon. One problem - we were very hungry after coming home from the beach! Ate at Fudpuckers, Pompano Joes, AJs & Back Porch. All good food! Love this house! We ALL want to come back soon but need a break from each other right now and also need to go home for some rest! Thanks!

Just wanted to tell you we had a wonderful, fabulous vacation in Destin. Your home, the Coco Cabana, was exactly as pictured and the perfect size for our family. This house provided the space we needed for the whole family to be comfortable the entire week. We all took turns making dinner in the well stocked kitchen which made it so simple. The short walk to the beach was easy with all the kids and the pool was well enjoyed. We were a little worried about tropical storm Debby but said a few prayers and were thrilled we only had one day of rain and the rest of week was beautifully sunny.The beach was beautiful and the water was so blue. Thank you too for recommending Frost for our family pictures on the beach. She was well organized and the pictures were great. Dewey Destins restaurant, Ciao Bella Pizzeria, Pompano Joes Restaurant were great and the atmosphere at Fudpuckers was fun! 50th Anniversary

Thank you for helping us celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family! We have been waiting for 16 months to show them your beautiful home. We enjoyed the pool and the open living rooms. We felt so much at home. Thanks for making this such a special vacation. We had everything we needed! It was everything we had hoped for and then some! I think our boys were waterlogged from all the time in the pool. We look forward to returning hopefully next season. AND our grandson got engaged on the beach!!

This is our 3rd family trip to Destin, Fl. We have always stayed in this section of the beach and this is our favorite! This house is incredibly inviting & relaxing; everything a vacation should be!! It was so spacious & comfortable. The pool was fantastic as well....our favorite thing to do at night. Lots of kitchen utensils, acessories, dishes & tools!! A welcome surprise indeed!! Thank you!! The storm broke the patio table glass & you were quick to respond & incredibly kind regarding the incident. We will definately come to CoCo Cabana again on future trips to Destin! Thanks so much!!

Loved the family visit!! This home was perfect for that. I want to say Dewey Destin restaurant(the original one) looked scary going into but once through we had the BEST TIME! From the place you can see dolphins, flounder, jellyfish, eel because the water is so crystal clear and the service.....well, we thought they were family at Dewey Destin Restuarant! Panhandle sand is the BEST!

Our first visit to Destin and the Florida Panhandle was fantastic! Our weather was perfect with temperatures in the high 80's. Other than the "June grass" in the water, it was perfect also. It was warm with enough waves to make it fun. We enjoyed Pompano Joe's and McGuires Irish Pub but ended up eating in many nights using the "great" grill and well-equipped kitchen. We have some great beaches in Maryland but your sand is the best!!

We had a blast at the CoCo Cabana! What a great week. The beach was BEAUTIFUL and the ocean was warm! Everyone had fun at DJ's for the dolphin cruise and then dancing the night away at the bar. We had such fun in the sun in the pool. As far as food, we suggest driving to Publix. Winn Dixie is closer but a lot more expensive. The Whales Tail Restaurant had very good seafood & AJ's had great sushi. Dawn and John were great hosts! P.S. There is a recycling center by the Embassy Suites. P.P.S. For any possible oil..Dawn diswashing liquid detergent is great for simple removal. Thanks! Lots of fun!!

What a beautiful house! We have rented from the Foys before and its always a pleasure! We had a great time despite the fact that it poured rain for 5 days of our 7! We had a delicious time here this week - literally. The well equipped kitchen helped us produce amazing esoteric delights! Yum Yum! Pool was great. Weather = hot-n-sunny! NO OIL on beach...thank goodness. Rented a boat from 'Luthers' for the entire day. Had a GREAT time. Snorkled, fished and cruised around the bay. Super fun - got the Limo pontoon. Really enjoyed the house. Really enjoyed Destin. Thanks so much. You will see us again!

Ocean Cabana

We stayed in Ocean Cabana the week of July 4th, 2009 and absolutely had a ball! What a perfect set
up for a group with kids ranging from 5 to 16! The location was perfect for the older kids, allowing
them some independence to walk back and forth to the beach, as well as an easy trot back to the
house for the small kids.
The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG
bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish
Frying and just sitting around relaxing.
Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved
both of them and will use them again!

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything
we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way.
The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the
beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy.
We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!
Ocean Cabana ~ Our Home Away From Home

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our
needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was
stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was
nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and
restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our
family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company.
The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk
along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the
sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners
were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the
Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset
before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to
our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked
for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area.

13 Family Members..from Grams to Age 1

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean,
beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was
there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the
first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and
giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding.
Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to
Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some
very empty beach areas.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I
know with me to this beautiful property. Southern Charm was the
getaway I needed from work. The property owners were
responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed
to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in
Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean
75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that!
The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large
private bath and balcony, 2 guest bedrooms and bath and laundry
area on the 2nd and another bedroom on the 3rd floor. Lastly,
don't forget about the private pool!
I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple.
Destin is beautiful and a must see for the beach lover!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful time at the Southern Charm. The
owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called
them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of
Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a
group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the
beach. Biking was terrific as well. Highly recommend this place!!

Our family of 9 spent spring break '09 in this beautiful home! We
loved the pool and the fact if was close to the beach. Of course the
kids loved the spiral staircase! I have to say everything is
disclosed on their web page, no hidden secrets!! The owners live in
town and were always there when we needed them!!! I would

SOUTHERN CHARM

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children
and grandchildren at Southern Charm. It was wonderful! The
grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was
great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning.
All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we
had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer
and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every
day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only
drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and
comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like
this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the
coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with
Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-
personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. Walton.
Our favorite restaurant was The Crab Trap.

This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome
kitchen, great bedrooms. It is just down the road from the beach.
The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim
or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is
great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like
me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to
restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon
and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and
all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

We stayed in May. We had 11 people in our group, had plenty of room and bathrooms. The house
and property were beautiful and very nicely decorated. Just a short distance from the beach. This
was our families 3rd vacation to Florida and we really loved this house.All the kids loved the pool and
it was very private. Everything you need for a wounderful vacation is there. The property owners
were very nice to deal with and helpful.

we stayed at the mango sun may 11-17 2008. there was a group of ten adults and 4 kids (all 4 and under). We had such a nice time. The house was beautiful, updated, and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the beach was one block away and with all those kids there was too much stuff to try to carry while walking. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. Jon the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!
The Best Vacation Ever!

The Lazy Pineapple is the perfect spot for your ideal vacation. The house was gorgeous with all the necessities for the perfect vacation. This house could easily sleep 16+ people, but for this vacation I, my husband, 2 year old son and my two parents stayed here. The house was amazing. The kitchen was awesome, fully stocked with all your cooking needs. My parents slept down stairs in a very comfy room (with a bathroom attached). We slept upstairs in the master suite… and let me tell you…this room is gorgeous! The pictures just do not do this house justice. My 2 year old son slept in the room next door in a crib that was provided by the owners. For anyone who has little ones, you know what a relief it is not to have to pack the highchair, pack-n-play, nightlight etc. The owners provided all this for us…and made our vacation so “baby friendly.” The location of this house is PERFECT! It is just about a block from the ocean…such an easy walk… we did drive just because we had a 2 year old and more beach toys than any one child should have :) But if you have small children the owners also provided a couple of wagons that they could climb in and then be pulled down to the beautiful sandy beaches. I don’t want to forget to mention that the owners had all the beach toys/sand buckets you could imagine that they have collected over time that kids can play with… so no need to bring a lot of beach toys like us… just one more convenient/thoughtful bonus to the Lazy Pineapple.
I need to also include the fabulous private heated pool that comes with the house. Oh my goodness, we could have, and pretty much did spend the bulk of our vacation in the pool. It has a shower right by the pool, so when you get back from a long day at the beach, you can wash all the sand off and then spend hours just chillaxin in the crystal clean pool. The pool was one of our favorite parts of the vacation. The steps leading into the pool made it very easy for my mom and 2 year old to get in and out.
I could absolutely write a novel on how much we LOVED the Lazy Pineapple, but I am only allowed so much space for this review. I guess I will wrap this up with saying the house is awesome, the beaches are awesome, the location is awesome, the shopping is awesome, but most importantly… John and Dawn (the owners) are awesome. We stayed in this home for 1 week and it was awesome. I have 3 small boys and they enjoyed the pool at the house more than they did the beach. The walk to the beach was a great time to explain the rules of the beach to the boys. We also had 2 other families stay with us in the house, which totaled 12. It was actually big enough for all of us. We did not run into each other at all. Very convienent location. I will be back to stay here in the future. The house was very clean and well decorated. The owners were great about providing us with the information that we need to complete our stay.

Sight unseen (other than the internet) my family booked a last minute spring vacation this year at the Lazy Pineapple. Without a personal recommendation, we were a little apprehensive as to the booking. As it turned out, we had nothing to worry about. The house was clean and spacious. The owners were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location is excellent: 1 block south to the beach - 2 blocks north to the shopping areas, yet in a quiet, homey neighborhood. My daughters (ages 3 and 6) loved the pool. I am already looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful vacation home in Destin! We have stayed in this same house for 3 years in a row if that tells you anything. We love the location...close to the beach and to shopping! Plenty of space for large families and well kept. Has everything you need to have a fun and relaxing vacation. Would recommend again and again!

We stayed in Ocean Cabana the week of July 4th, 2009 and absolutely had a ball! What a perfect set up for a group with kids ranging from 5 to 16! The location was perfect for the older kids, allowing them some independence to walk back and forth to the beach, as well as an easy trot back to the house for the small kids.
The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.
Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved both of them and will use them again!
The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way. The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy. We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean, beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some very empty beach areas.

The house was beautiful, updated, and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the beach was one block away and with all those kids there was too much stuff to try to carry while walking. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. Jon the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I know with me to this beautiful property. Southern Charm was the getaway I needed from work. The property owners were responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean 75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that! The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large private bath and balcony, 2 guest bedrooms and bath and laundry area on the 2nd and another bedroom on the 3rd floor. Lastly, don't forget about the private pool! I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple. Our group of 7 had a wonderful time at the Southern Charm. The owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the beach. Biking was terrific as well. Highly recommend this place!!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren at Southern Charm. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

The Best Vacation Ever!

The Lazy Pineapple is the perfect spot for your ideal vacation. The house was gorgeous with all the necessities for the perfect vacation. This house could easily sleep 16+ people, but for this vacation I, my husband, 2 year old son and my two parents stayed here. The house was amazing. The kitchen was awesome, fully stocked with all your cooking needs. My parents slept down stairs in a very comfy room (with a bathroom attached). We slept upstairs in the master suite… and let me tell you…this room is gorgeous! The pictures just do not do this house justice. My 2 year old son slept in the room next door in a crib that was provided by the owners. For anyone who has little ones, you know what a relief it is not to have to pack the highchair, pack-n-play, nightlight etc. The owners provided all this for us…and made our vacation so “baby friendly.” The location of this house is PERFECT! It is just about a block from the ocean…such an easy walk… we did drive just because we had a 2 year old and more beach toys than any one child should have :) But if you have small children the owners also provided a couple of wagons that they could climb in and then be pulled down to the beautiful sandy beaches. I don’t want to forget to mention that the owners had all the beach toys/sand buckets you could imagine that they have collected over time that kids can play with… so no need to bring a lot of beach toys like us… just one more convenient/thoughtful bonus to the Lazy Pineapple.
I need to also include the fabulous private heated pool that comes with the house. Oh my goodness, we could have, and pretty much did spend the bulk of our vacation in the pool. It has a shower right by the pool, so when you get back from a long day at the beach, you can wash all the sand off and then spend hours just chillaxin in the crystal clean pool. The pool was one of our favorite parts of the vacation. The steps leading into the pool made it very easy for my mom and 2 year old to get in and out.

The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.
Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved both of them and will use them again!

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way. The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy. We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean, beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some very empty beach areas.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I know with me to this beautiful property. Southern Charm was the getaway I needed from work. The property owners were responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean 75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that! The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large private bath and balcony, 2 guest bedrooms and bath and laundry area on the 2nd and another bedroom on the 3rd floor. Lastly, don't forget about the private pool! I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple. Our group of 7 had a wonderful time at the Southern Charm. The owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the beach. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren at Southern Charm. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome kitchen, great bedrooms. It is just down the road from the beach. The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

Our group of 7 had a wonderful time at the Southern Charm. The owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the beach. Biking was terrific as well. Highly recommend this place!!

Our family of 9 spent spring break '09 in this beautiful home! We loved the pool and the fact if was close to the beach. Of course the kids loved the spiral staircase! I have to say everything is disclosed on their web page, no hidden secrets!! The owners live in town and were always there when we needed them!!! I would definately recommend Southern Charm!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren at Southern Charm. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome kitchen, great bedrooms. It is just down the road from the beach. The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

We stayed in May. We had 11 people in our group, had plenty of room and bathrooms. The house and property were beautiful and very nicely decorated. Just a short distance from the beach. This was our families 3rd vacation to Florida and we really loved this house.All the kids loved the pool and it was very private. Everything you need for a wounderful vacation is there. The property owners were very nice to deal with and helpful.

Had a great time. The house was everything that we wanted. Had lots of room for the 3 family that was with us. The furnishings was great and the kitchen had everything that you could possibly want.

We really enjoyed staying at the Mango Sun. It is a very nice home with an outstanding beach a short walk away. Also thanks for taking the time to answer our "many" questions in regards to the area and investing in Destin. Thanks, B&K in Ohio

we stayed at the mango sun may 11-17 2008. there was a group of ten adults and 4 kids (all 4 and under). We had such a nice time. The house was beautiful, updated, and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the beach was one block away and with all those kids there was too much stuff to try to carry while walking. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. Jon the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!
