|This 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Balboa Island cottage is conveniently located in walking distance to the charming shops and cafe’s on Marine Ave., as well as the historic Balboa Island Ferry that takes both cars and pedestrians on a 5 minute ride to Balboa Peninsula and the Pacific Ocean beaches. There, the kids can play at the Fun Zone arcade, ride the Ferris wheel, you all can charter a boat to Catalina Island, go deep sea fishing, para-sailing, jet skiing, stroll the boardwalk, rent bikes, surf, or just treat yourself to a Ruby's shake at the end of the pier. The recreation opportunities are endless!
The front of this cottage features an cozy outdoor patio complete with a gas BBQ and patio furniture where you can prepare your favorite outdoor meals, have a glass of wine, and meet other friendly vacationers to the island as they stroll on by. The inside of this cottage has purposely been maintained in it’s original Balboa Island vintage style featuring a high-vaulted ceiling in the living room outlined with traditional wood planks, there is wood flooring throughout the cottage, a wood-burning fireplace, and two cozy sofas.
The kitchen has all the conveniences of home including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, double stainless steel sink, and fully stocked with all the cookware and place settings you will need. All that’s left for you to purchase is your groceries at the local market on the island or Pavilions grocery store nearby. Adjacent to the kitchen and living room, is a separate dining area with a rectangular wooden table that seats six people very comfortably. The master bedroom is very spacious with it’s own master bath (en-suite) / shower, plenty of closet space, and a flat-screen TV.
There is WiFi internet service throughout the cottage that extends to the outside patio. The first guest bedroom features a queen-sized bed, also has plenty of closet space, and a flat-screen TV. The 3rd bedroom features a twin day bed and a small desk should you have any work you need to get done while you’re on vacation. All linens and towels are included as well as beach chairs. Cancellations. Cancellations must be made in writing, either via fax or email, no cancellations by phone are allowed. Upon cancellation, refund of any deposits held by NBVP shall be granted only if the home is re-rented. We will make every effort to re-rent the home once notification of cancellation has been made; therefore it is in the guest’s best interest to notify us of a cancellation as soon as possible. If the Occupant cancels the rental, the Occupant shall forfeit all rental deposits held by NBVP as liquidated damages for the Owner, unless the rental premises are re-let for the same rental period. Then a portion of the deposits may be refunded to the Occupants as follows: (1) a 15% (of the total rent due from the 1st page of this contract) reservation cancellation fee shall be deducted; (2) loss of rental income, if any, for the rental period shall be deducted from the deposits. [Example: house rental rate of $1,000 with a $500.00 deposit being held, which is re-let for $900.00 for the rental period, results in a $250.00 refund of the deposit. From the $500.00 deposit, deductions of $100.00 (loss of rental income) and $150.00 (cancellation fee) are taken resulting in a total refund of $250.00]. If you have purchased travel insurance, please refer to their guidelines regarding coverage on cancellations. There will be no refunds for early departure.
