Our young family of four stayed here and the apartment was perfect! We cooked some meals in and yet were super close to the beach and fun restaurants. The free parking was key! We had everything we needed and we all were comfortable. Just loved our stay. We will be back!"

"Waikiki Banyan Stay
Good location to go to UH. Property was in relatively good condition. Minor issues that management could resolve: Cleaners didn’t clean the toilet and unfortunately it was obvious. Neighbors smoked on their deck and it blew into the unit. Shower soap dish fell off the wall. Ice cube trays in freezer are cracked and leak - ongoing problem obviously because there’s ice on the bottom of the freezer. Overall was happy to stay there and would definitely stay there again. "

"Nice room. Good location
Room is nice with kitchen upgrades. Was represented as having a pull out couch in the living room which was not correct but we made due. Bathroom needed some cleaning but everything is provided so we did it ourselves. Room comes with everything you need for your trip in the kitchen and also beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards etc. We were pretty happy overall and would probably stay here again."

"Great View and Location with Some Problems
Overall, this apartment was pretty good, offering a good view and location. Unfortunately, the building was under construction when we stayed there, and one day there was so much noise that we had to get out. If we had known about the construction, we would not have booked this property. There was a fire alarm at 2:30am on our first night, ruining our sleep. The furniture was stained and smelly, and the bathroom faucet was defective (low water pressure, difficult to move). Some of the glassware was not clean. The site manager was very responsive to our complaints and offered some compensation for our trouble, which was much appreciated. On the plus side, the beds were pretty comfortable, and the unit was quiet at night. I'd recommend this property if the items listed above were remedied, and if the construction was completed."

"Great location and views, bad WiFi
This rental is located very conveniently by Waikiki Beach and has great views during the day and night. Walk to the beach or shopping is very short, and especially nice that it came with free parking, as well as beach umbrella and chairs which came handy.
**Internet is painfully SLOW, so do not expect to stream any of your shows in good quality or to get any work done. Not many beach towels are provided, so expect to wash them daily if you coming to vacation with your family. We had to purchase our own kitchen towels as there were none upon our arrival, but only applies if you are planning to use kitchen. Room and lanai sliding doors both jumping off the rails time to time, so can be little annoying.
Byron greeted us well, however, was not very responsive thereafter. Do not count much on him, and call office directly if you need anything.

"GREAT week away!
Stayed for a week with my mom. The pictures of the condo we saw prebooking were spot on and when we walked in the door it looked exactly like we expected. Byron was great, it was a holiday weekend and apparently the parking pass had recently been lost but he made sure everything was handled and a new one delivered. Noticed that beach chairs available had been “well used” and he graciously found us some new ones which we thoroughly enjoyed. SUPER EASY walk to the beach and really to everything in Waikiki. We loved that it was not super heavy traffic in and out. No doubt that I would recommend this condo to anyone without any hesitation! Thanks again!"

"Good location. Decent rental.
Location was excellent. Great view of the mountain. Could use some tlc in the apt. Some doors were sticky in their track, garbage disposal was noisey, bathroom sink drain cover got stuck either up or down. Completely livable though. AC was fantastic! "

We had a wonderful experience using Captain Cook - their staff was so helpful! The condo was as pictured, clean, and had a great view of mountains - lovely at night with the lights. It is an older condo, but it was perfect for our needs, decorated well, and kept up well. It is about three blocks from the beach, an easy walk!"

A very nice size for my daughter and myself. Few places had a this was appreciated.Lovely view and great kitchen.
One issue..dividing foldable wall between living room and bedroom is difficult to move so we picked a spot and left it there all week. Bathroom could use a bit better cleaning..and perhaps a new fan. Bed frames have very pointed corners so got a few bruises...but beds comfortable..would give it a solid 4/5. That view...wow.."

"Great Location with an Amazing Mountain View
This rental is in a great location. It has an awesome view of the mountains. It is a very short walk down to the beach & restaurants. The internet did go down. We finally got the management to bring a replacement modem but we don't know why it took over 24 hours."

Just spent 12 nights here with my son Great apartment great location Everything supplied although I am glad I brought a peeler as that is the only thing that was missing Very trivial I know It is a short walk from Beach There is a great fresh juice bar nearby Miko and the juice highly recommend Also Tikis Bar and grill Will definitely stay here again next year Mahalo I miss Hawaii again "

I be completely honest, when we booked this unit it was as a last minute decision. We were looking for something with an ocean view. We arrived with not very high expectations but boy were we wrong. The view from the unit was amazing and could not have asked for more. The condo it self was clean and very comfortable. All you could possibly need to make you feel at home. Kitchen is fully stocked. Location was perfect. Thank you! "

"Birthday trip
Ten days away with family, didn't want a hotel so went condo route. Condo is great option as you can have meals at home instead of out all the time. You can relax in your lounge after days at the beach. Works for us"

Byron was great in helping with arrival instructions and rental extension. Con: defective air conditioning unit, no toaster, TV screen blurry and lounging chair uncomfortable with attached pillow causing neck discomfort

"Great place next to Waikiki
We stayed one week in this condo. It was a great experience. We stayed with two small children. Just steps to the beach, with many restaurants near by. Byron was very very helpful and we thank him for that. The only thing i didn't really like was that there were only one washer and dryer per floor and they operate with coins. Not easy to find 8 quarters for each load. In the office on the 4th floor in the other building of the complex we managed to get quarters. I used the laundry a lot, you can imagine with two children. Need to wash all the time. Otherwise, the place is great. Apartment is big enough for a family. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. I would stay there again. I hope we come back soon. "

"Place is old and deeds work.
The Wakiki Banyon in in a great location. We were looking for a place to sleep and relax and read in between beach and dining, we do not use the kitchens when traveling because we enjoy the many great restaurants. The unit 2609 is obviously owned by someone who does not use it and only cares about making as much as they can from rentals and not having to put any monies into it to maintain it., SO... read this before you stay. When we checked in we were greeted very nicely and professionally. After our arrival we noticed blood and bloody tissues in the kitchen and the management responded quickly, This would not have been a problem since it was corrected. But the unit is old and need much work. The beds were so uncomfortable we did not have a good nights sleep the 6 days we were there. There were 2 of us so we tried both beds and the couch but all really bad. The one chair in the Living Room was very uncomfortable and the entire place does not have sufficient lighting to read a book or newspaper. The air conditioner was so loud and noisy, we had to turn it off so we could sleep.
I have a few of my rental properties in Lake Tahoe on VRBO and when I see properties as bad as this on the site, I think about using only Air BNB."

A fantastic stay at the Waikiki Banyon. Great location and all everything you need for a self sufficient, comfortable getaway. Was a little nerve wracking though being on the 26th floor with an active 3 year old! In saying that - the views are spectacular."

"Beautiful view, beautiful place and felt like home!
We stayed here for 5 days prior to going to Ko Olina for the following 3 days, and we loved everything about this condo! It was beautifully renovated, and it felt very much like home. The kitchen provided everything we needed, and the entire condo had everything we needed - beach toys for our son, beach towels for us and even boogie boards! I also left something in the condo after we checked out, and they held onto it for me to pick up when we returned to Waikiki. I will 100% stay in this condo again. If there is one complaint I would make, it would be the size of the beds, would have been better if there were two queen beds versus two double beds. Otherwise, we were so happy that we chose this condo for our stay!"

"Home away from Home
We had a very nice stay in April 2015 for one week Place was clean and tastefully decorated. Property manager, Byron returned questions via text quickly via text. The condo had everything including a rice cooker, beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels. I left a small boogie board to share with future guest since we couldn't pack it for the plane. The only small critique is the mattresses were not the most comfortable. Other than that, amazing condo with lovely views of the mountain. "

"Great family place
This is our second stay in this suite with our family of four. The room is well stocked with kitchen supplies, picnic supplies and even a few beach items. A spacious place that fit all four of us without the cost of a two bedroom. The mountain view is spectacular and we actually prefer it to an ocean view as it is so pretty at night and you can see the sunrise and watch the city wake up.
Fabulous suite with lots of storage and comfortable furnishings. The pool is great for families and gets lots of afternoon sun. The BBQs worked well and each floor has some laundry which is helpful."

"Wonderful Rental in a Great Location
Honestly, I was a little anxious while looking for a rental in Waikiki, especially considering the fact that hotel prices can go through the roof. My family and I haven't visited Hawaii prior to this trip either, so we really didn't know what to expect. I found this listing, with excellent reviews, mapped the location, and figured, why not? Thankfully, I was not disappointed. The location is literally under two blocks from the beach and right down the street from all the shops on Kalakaua Ave. It's just away from the more touristy spots near the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but still walkable if you choose to go that way. The rental was clean, well-furnished, and perfect for three people. Byron from Captain Cook was incredibly helpful when checking us in and giving us all that we needed to enjoy our stay. Overall, we had a great experience at an affordable rate. We will definitely go with this rental the next time we visit Oahu. "

My husband and I stayed with our daughter and her boyfriend for 5 days. It was a great stay! We loved the location only being 2shorts blocks to the beach, the condo was updated and had all the amenities we needed. It only has 2 double beds and I thought it had a pull out sofa but it didn't. Our contact was kind enough to get us a airmattress. I would stay at this condo with less than 4 people and the Banyon's condo complex in general. It located right behind the Marriott hotel. Plus you can't beat free parking! "

Was visiting Honolulu with two daughters. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The unit has a gorgeous view of the mountains, and is a short walk from Waikiki beach. Very well maintained. We even cooked a few meals on some evenings and enjoyed the view."

"It took us more than 4 hours before check-in. Pick up your phone!
Nice and clean place! But two problems.
1) When we arrived at the airport, we called them. No one answered. Called him again. No one answered. It took us more than 4 hours to get a key.
2) They didn't give us a key to access from the parking to the hotel elevator. So when we parked the car at 3rd floor, we had to walk all way down to the first floor. That was a pain!

"Comfortable Condo in Waikiki
Byron was available right away when we called to check in and was able to get us in a few hours ahead of regular check in time. The condo was very clean and fresh. A couple times we thought the lanai door was open because the window was so clean. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn't use it much because we were on the go most of the time and didn't take time to stock up. Parking was a snap and elevators were always quick. Room was stocked with enough basics, soap, etc. to get us through our stay. Plenty of towels and beach towels on hand, plus beach chairs. Great location. Walk to beach, shopping restaurants. Second bed was was hard and not to comfy but the rest of the furniture was comfortable and pretty new. I would stay there again."

"Great location
Waikiki is a fantastic place to visit and the beach is better than you can imagine.
The beach is perfect for kids and babies.
Our apartment was compact with 2 adults and 2 kids but adequate.
The kitchen was handy for kids and it came with a great big fridge.
Location was a short walk to beach front and shops.
Very handy having a car spot free.
If i had to fault this building it would be the pool was a bit average. "

The only one thing I could pick on is that there were only 2 beach towels for 4 of us. Otherwise this place was perfect- clean, modern, comfy, full of equipment, great location. What else can I stay? If I return to Hawaii I wouldn't hestitate to stay here again."

"Great value for the money - would happily stay there again
We recently rented this condo for two separate stays - a two night stay, and then back again for four nights following our cruise. The property management company official was excellent, very accomodating, and was able to get us into the condo earlier than anticipated. She was waiting for us when we got to the condo, which was excellent. Loved the condo itself, very clean and everything we needed was there. The only thing it would have been nice to have was a broom rather than just the vacuum cleaner. We were there with our two grandsons, so every time we came back from Waikiki beach, we had lots of sand to clean up. Great central location, with easy access to the beach, golf course, international market place, zoo, and Diamond Head - all within walking distance. Parking at the facility was great, felt totally comfortable leaving golf bags in the car at all times."

The apartment is great, well equipped, lovely individual decorating touches, everything we needed. Fantastic mountain views beautiful daytime and nighttime. We think that the Waikiki Banyan is at the best end of Waikiki, it's one block from the beach,
the bus stop, and close to Kapiolani Park. On Tuesdays and Fridays we stocked up on fruit and vegetables from the farmers market at the Community Centre next door. I can thoroughly recommend it. A very lovely apartment and a friendly place to stay."

"Three Block Walk to the Barrier Beach
This was the first time we travelled without a stroller. We have two kids and our youngerst (4ys old) had no problem making the twice daily trek to the beach. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and the morning sun means that the afternoons in the condo are not blisteringly hot. The pool is located on the 6th floor. It was windy there so swims were better in the early afternoon when the sun was well overhead than in late afternoon before the shadows from neighbouring buildings streched over the water. The onsite playground structure was a welcome surprise."
