"Quick Getaway
This getaway was more spur-of-the-moment for us. The unit was available and looked clean and ready for our stay. We have stayed at OOP for many years in other units, some through Garden City Realty, and we felt good about this unit as well. It turns out that this unit was nice and clean and homey. The only issues we had were that the chairs in the common area (seen in picture) were a bit worn from use. The bed was fairly comfortable but could use a nice, thick topper if not a whole new set of mattresses. A Keurig would have been nice. We LOVED the blinds in the common area! We decided from this trip that we much prefer the south tower as this was our first stay in the north tower. Washer and dryer were small and older, non HE. Overall, a pleasing, restful stay."

"October Beach Vacation
Hurricane Ian made significant changes to the beach and the sea. The beach without dunes was much flatter and the bottom of the sea was quite turbulent. Our grandsons enjoyed fishing and making sand castles and volcanoes, and watched for the high tides to remove their creations. The temperature was cooler than in the past and the fish appear to have gone elsewhere. We left relaxed and glad for the time away after the past two years."

We had the best vacation ever, thanks to Garden City Reality. we arrived early and the condo was perfect & clean,just like the pictures on line.we park our car on the second parking level right near our unit.the two elevators were right from the door.Go down two levels to pools,hot tops& ocean. the staff was great& helpfull. I definitly wiil use Garden City Reality for our next vacation.Garden City Beach is the best. "Perfect location
Condo was very clean. Furniture was a little dated but still comfortable and did I mention clean? Washer and dryer were very small so don’t expect to wash a big load. Parking was very tight. This unit is right in front of the elevator which worked well for us because my mom uses a walker. However, she stayed in the 2nd bedroom and said the hallway light was very bright inside the room. They had great room darkening shades on the beach side. It might be a good idea to get some curtains for that room as well. All in all a lovely stay and would definitely rent again!"

We have stayed at One Ocean Place before- love the location, steps to the beach, This unit is very nice, updated. It is right next to the top level of the garage so easy to unload luggage, groceries. We did have a problem with the sink leaking, someone came to fix it as soon as we called. We’ll be back!"

We like the location and the condo this is our second year here.
We have already reserved next year.
This year we had some issues. The Wi-Fi did not work and none of the trouble shooting worked.
The door lock was also not working properly. We had to leave the room unlocked several times due to the lock not engaging.
Also we noticed some of the units had the beach chairs and umbrellas included with the room. This would be a nice amenity to have and one less thing the guest have to worry about while on vacation.

"Ladies Beach Trip 2020
We had a great time at One Ocean Place. The view was amazing from almost anywhere in the room. The location was great, being on the end of the street. Parking lot is very convenient from the front door of condo. The decor or the Living room looked like they were in transition. The half that looked redecorated was very nice, the other looked like from the 80s. This did not effect our trip. Could have been cleaner some webs on the wall. Overall it was a great experience. We had a wonderful stay this year (last year the hurricane kept us away). The condo was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We have been coming to One Ocean Place for over 30 years now and it never ceases to amaze me that the property management company seems not to have a little note that we are repeat guests and about how many times we've used their services. We started when they were still Condotel. We love eating at Lee's Inlet Kitchen. Also, we were so happy to see that the former Flo's Place had reopened as American Steak and Oyster Bar. "

"Wonderful Condo, Great Vacation!
We have stayed in many condos in Garden City over the years, but this was by far our favorite. The condo was so cozy and homey, and the appliances and amenities were great. We enjoyed booking through Garden City Realty and would do so again for this condo! We enjoyed many attractions and restaurants (and would recommend all) including: Crabby Mikes Seafood Buffet, the Pavilion Arcade, Medieval Times, Time Warp at Carolina Opry, Little Italy, Alligator Adventure, the Hollywood Wax Museum, and Broadway at the Beach. "

Only 3 concerns:
1) 8 towels and 4 washcloths is insufficient for a seven day stay for a party of 4.
2) Ice was not available with icemaker until after 3 days.
3) Dryer vent has not been cleaned In awhile - required using a rod and vacuum cleaner to clean filter and heat channel. A MAJOR FIRE HAZARD!!
Otherwise, completely satisfied and we will check availability of this unit in the future!"

The condo was great. The furniture and bed were very comfortable and there were beach chairs for use. However during time we were inconvenienced by not having access to the beach for 2-3 days due to beach reconstruction. The lights and noise at night were very disturbing. Aside from that I would recommend this condo."

We enjoyed our stay, but have a few issues.
The mirror in the master bathroom was smeared,
the toilet in the front bathroom was very dirty. We dealt with both ourselves and commented to Garden City Realty at check out.
I would never have said this in review normally, but our real complaint is with Garden City Realty and Home Away. We signed every paper requested, seeing the amounts due only to get a surprise on the credit card statement for an additional $54.00 making the total for 2 nights $585.00(check in 4:pm-check out 10:am). We had agreed to $520.00(260.00 per night)
which was bad enough, but 290.00+ per night is way overpriced. Neither Garden City or Home Away would
credit the additional $54.00 we were never told about until it appeared on the card. "

We have stayed at alot of rental condos but none of them had this amazing view!! I love to come to the beach and sit on the beach and read, you could honestly sit in this condo and feel like you was right on the beach just from the view! The room was nice, clean, and very comfortable beds. I honestly wanted to bring the bed home with me. It was a big plus that you didn't have to pay extra for linens and you didn't have to do alot of cleaning before leaving. I will definitely rent again. The realtor was very friendly and a quick check in."

My family was in town for a wedding. We choose OOP 203 because of its central location to wedding activities. The building was well kept. Pool and hot tub were in good condition. Property is right on the ocean, which was fantastic. The unit was in very good shape, albeit a little outdated. Plenty of room, large covered deck and most importantly, the unit was clean. I would recommend this property."

The condo was very comfortable and just what we were looking for. The large windows provided a wonderful view of the ocean with the weather too cool to sit on the balcony. I always stay in Garden City Beach when I go to the Myrtle Beach area. To me it's much nicer than the hustle and bustle of MB. I highly recommend this condo and the area. It's beautiful!"

"Our stay at one ocean place The Roy's
Our stay at One Ocean Place was and enjoyable stay except for the the continuous problem with parking . Which I do realize that you have no control of. They were painting and patching the building and for several days on end their was parking spots not being used d/t fear of paint and etc damaging your vehicle.. The noise from machines and vibrations were continuous. Also the pool and spa were not working . One day the spa would work the next day it wouldn't. They drained the pool fix a leaking problem and the drilling with jack hammers were annoying. Other wise the unit it self was lovely. Had everything you needed for your stay. Beds were very comfortable. For the amount we paid it could have been more relaxing."

The only negative was that some of the furniture needed updating. The seat cushion on the white rattan chair was very soiled. We liked having the two reclining chairs rather than overstuffed chairs. We loved the ceramic lamp in the living room. We wanted to take it home with us!"

The mattress on the king sz bed was VERY comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and other items. The unit did not have a DVD player in the living area. It would be great to have curtains instead of the very aggravating blinds in the living area as well as the master bedroom. Rental listing from Garden City Rentals stated renters had use of owners personal beach items, i.e. beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., which was not true. Good thing we brought our own items!!
Overall, we highly recommend this unit!!!!"

The condo room itself was spotless and very nice. The carpets outside of the rooms (by elevators) were NASTY. The maintenance folks kept the pool area clean. The check in/out process - there was no personality at all. We left one day early,and they did not even ask why. The ramps from the parking lot to the hallways were very small - hard for a scooter to pass through, a wheelchair would not pass through. Wish the chairs by the pool would sit all the way up, but they were still nice. Our tv in the living room broke twice, they finally just brought us another one (much smaller one). One of the toilets needed fixed at one point as well. When maintenance was called, they were there quickly with a smile. Parking was tough. We just had a SUV but it seemed like a bus when trying to park. "

Loved the location. I would recommend replacing/repairing the missing sections of the blinds in the den and master bedroom bc being on the second floor allows people walking the beach or pool side to see in the condo. My dad fixed as many as he could for you. Also this den needs a DVD player. Other than that everything was great. "

My husband and I love this particular condo and do ask for it. I wish the owners would do something about the blinds in the living room and master bedroom. When the sun comes up in the morning in the bedroom, it is in your face! And the kitchen definitely needs attention. The cabinets are so old and feel dirty and greasy. It is time for an upgrade! "

Had to clean some items in the kitchen before use because they were put up dirty....but other than that our stay was great. "Clean and Comfortable....Needs Some Updates
Overall, this unit was very clean and comfortable. In its current condition, I would definitely stay here again.
However, if I had to give this unit a grade I would give it a B- based on the condition of some of its furnishings (blinds, TVs, furniture) as well as the overall condition of the unit.
The blinds are missing several slats that affect your privacy while in this unit as it is on the second floor right above the pool. The master bedroom is missing a single slat that is positioned perfectly to let the 6:45 AM sun blast you in the face.
While the master bedroom has a nice (wall-mounted) flat screen TV, the living room and guest bedroom both have TVs from the last century (literally.) Simply fixing the blinds and upgrading the TVs would immediately improve this unit to a solid B or B+.
The furniture is older, but very comfortable.
The guest bathroom has been upgraded and looks great. The master bathroom is in need of the same. The shower/tub is HUGE and very nice, but the cabinets are old and need replaced. The kitchen is functional, but is also in need of a renovation.
The photos on the Web site are pretty accurate as to what this unit looks like (which I appreciate!!)
However, with all of that said, the positives far outweighed the negatives and I would absolutely rent this unit again. I was very pleased with how clean it was at check-in. It had plenty of room for our family of four and all of our stuff. It is convenient to the elevators and parking deck which made loading and unloading our luggage very easy. The view is spectacular! We truly enjoyed our stay during this week.
As for Garden City Realty, I can't say enough good things about them. I had some scheduling issues after my initial booking and they were very accommodating in getting me into a nice unit on a week that worked out very well. I will definitely stay at GCR properties my next time in Garden City."

"Horrible parking
For the price we paid we expected to at least be able to find one parking space since we were issued two parking permits. When we first arrived security even said "good luck finding a space". Another member of security actually allowed us to park in the loading zone. Finding a space was never an easy task. Even nearby street parking is nonexistent. Very disappointed with this.
The view from the condo was beautiful. The beach was wonderful. The king size bed is actual two twin beds of different lengths pushed together. Not comfortable at all. Needs room darkening curtains for the bedroom. The blinds allow to much light in the bedroom."

"Great place to stay no matter what age.
Was off to a bad start because i was a week early for my reservation. The property management professionals went into action. It took less then 20 minutes and they had us setup in a very fine 2 bdrm with jacuzzi-King bed- great location. My wife made the statment- I am glad u screwed up because I really like this place. (One Ocean Place) We both really liked it and will be coming back at our earliest convenience. Garden City Realty really rocks. Thanks guys for a wonderful job well done.

We loved the condo and the beach, but we did experience noise problems from the pool area. Early morning (7:30am) power washing of the pool area and late night hot tub party (11:15 pm). Also the very strong cigar smoke from the balcony above us prevented
us from using our balcony part of the time. But overall it was a very nice stay. We would recommend the property but another unit location.
