CASA CONTENTA VACATION VILLA:
The main or common areas of Casa Contenta are spread out on three distinctive levels. Each level features artisan crafted artwork from Mexico as well as indigenous art from around the globe which the owners and hosts have collected on their myriad annual trips. The ground floor features a spacious sitting area with a house library for guests where you can find just the right book to read while relaxing on one of two sofas or while working on your tan poolside. Step thru double doors and you'll enter our garden or use the lower decks and hammocks, where you can read in private.
Venture up the curved staircase lit by natural light through a one-of-a-kind freeform window, an architectural marvel and focal design feature of this villa, and you'll find yourself on the second floor living, dining and kitchen space. Several sitting areas are incorporated into this level and there is computer access and bar available for those that need to stay in touch or surf the web, although the entire house and decks have “wireless capability”. Wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows and doors bring the spectacular unobstructed views of Land's End, Cabo's Medano Bay and the Sea of Cortez into play.
Step through the double doors onto the pool level terrace and you'll find the views expand to include the desert, the town of Cabo San Lucas and the Sierra Laguna Mountains. The pool level terrace offers up a covered, shady retreat for enjoying breakfast or drinks while surrounded by lush plants and flowers. Feel like taking a siesta? Then make your way to the hammock and drift off in complete relaxation. Cool off with a dip in the pool or work on your tan on one of many padded chaise lounges with umbrellas at the ready to bring the shade to you. An outside fridge for the guests use is on this deck.
Another curved staircase passes by the 6-person Jacuzzi and takes you to our expansive and decidedly cozy rooftop terrace where unbroken views of the beauty of Cabo San Lucas and the tip of the Baja peninsula envelope you. We tend to do massages on this third level, under the Palapa.
From there, venture up the last staircase to the Sky-Deck, new, and 1500 square foot - this is one of the finest 360-degree views that exist of Lands' End - and a spot from which you can view the sun rise and set, each day. Sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Honeymooners and Groups love this special terace, where, with a firepit and gas tiki-torches, an impromptu social hour or star-gazing after sunsets are what wine down the day and usher in the nightlife. Our guests consistently rave about the pleasures or sipping a glass of wine while relaxing on their own, or with friends, family or other guests. Hammocks are also located on the decks on all three levels. All decks have chez lounges, tables and chairs, but all different and unique !!
The grounds that surround Casa Contenta are extensively landscaped but still maintain the feel and tranquility of a natural and peaceful desert setting, the only disturbance is from the different species of birds from woodpeckers to hummingbirds, doves to red-robins that make our gardens their homes and nesting places. Sprinkled amongst the flowers, plants and trees are more pieces of art... from artisan quality sculptures to locally crafted pieces like wooden ducks made from indigenous flora, metal miniature statuettes, birdbaths, feeding spots and the like.
The Rooms:
Casa Contenta also rents on a per room basis for smaller parties. Below you'll find information about each of our rooms and their respective nightly rates.
Each guest room offers you optimum privacy - all are spacious and decorated in a tasteful, mildly Mexican theme, including: "full deep sleep" King and Queen size beds, air conditioners and private luxurious bathrooms. Rooms are air-conditioned, have small personal refrigerators and private bathrooms.
Cardon & Ocotillo
These are definitely the favorite rooms, referred to by romantics, as our "Honeymoon Suites". Both are very large and spacious with almost floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on brilliantly colored bougainvilleas and peaceful cactus gardens. They both have access to outside decks. We also have fold out beds for these very large rooms, for kids. They have king size beds, walk-in closets and sunken baths.
Pitahaya
Another large and spacious ground floor corner room. Light and airy with a king size bed and a walk-through closet. It is both peaceful and quiet, looking out over the side garden and palms, and again, large enough for a fold-out.
Saguaro & Agave
Saguaro is a cozy, open and airy room, with it's own walk-in circular shower and Queen bed. Agave, next door, is a cheerful and bright room, capturing the morning sun that opens up onto the main deck, with a King bed. These two rooms, being semi-connected ~ with private entryway, are a favorite for two couples or a family traveling together and can be reserved as such.
Breakfast:

Cancellations
We never over-book. Should the need arise to cancel, we will work with you.
Because Cabo is a destination resort, please call us at least 60 days in advance of the start date of your booking and we'll be pleased to refund 50% of your deposit and the balance when we rebook the cancelled dates.
For cancellations less than 60 days in advance, monies will be refunded only when your original dates are re-booked.
In both cases, we will make every effort to re-book guests for the time frame that you cancel and refund you in full.
Additional Guests
Any additional kids on a fold out bed, add $25 per night, per person.
Large Groups
For large groups, at their option, we waive breakfasts and allow them the full use of the kitchen for all meals – no price increase, just let us know in advance.
For groups "Vacation-Villa" rentals, no breakfasts but the group has full use of the kitchen for all meals.
Guest Discount
All guests qualify for 50% discount on golf at the Dye Country Club
