We stayed in Ocean Cabana the week of July 4th, 2010 and absolutely had a ball! What a perfect set up for a group with kids ranging from 5 to 16! The location was perfect for the older kids, allowing them some independence to walk back and forth to the beach, as well as an easy trot back to the house for the small kids.
The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.
Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved both of them and will use them again!

We have stayed at the Clearview Vacation Rental houses for several years. For a couple years we stayed at their other homes and for four years we have stayed at the Ocean Cabana. It is wonderful to walk less than half a block(190 footsteps...1 minute walk), cross the street and be on the beach. We like to walk on the beach and watch the sunset, but we are really more pool people. The pool is wonderful - just for your family. We were one of the first families to stay in the Ocean Cabana house and it has been maintained wonderfully. The description on line is very accurate and the layout is great. It has large bedrooms and one of the bedrooms is on the first floor. This was important for us, because we have one person who prefers not to climb stairs. John and Dawn are great. We have not had anything major that needed attention, but when we have needed something fixed - like the remote controls - they respond immediately. They want to make you feel at home the very first day. The house is located just a half a block from a beautiful scenic route that you can drive or walk as you follow the beach. Our favorite restaurants are on that route. We can enjoy a great sunset and dinner at one of beachfront restaurants. Of course the seafood is wonderful. Shopping is available at two malls that are located near the house; one fashion and one discount. Don't miss a stop or two at the Donut Hole - try the key lime and red velvet donuts! We would highly recommend any of the homes offered by Clearview Vacation Rentals.

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

Every one of us enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The only complaint all week was the day we had to pack up and leave. The Ocean Cabana is a beautiful, tastfully decorated home, very welcoming to all.The heated pool with all the loungers around was heaven sent. Everyone spent a lot of time early mornings and evenings conversing on the back deck. The husbands were impressed by the "man deck" on top and the BBQ pit, and the wives were impressed that they were actually cooking! LOL. We look forward to coming again in the future.

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean, beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some very empty beach areas.
One small item we would have appreciated were some menus from restaurants..hard to pick something just from the phone book....especially if you don't want chains (which we avoid.

Very clean, well maintained & comfortable home. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Destin! Would definitely recommend this property to a friend. Loved having the washer & dryer in the house. Just a walk to the ocean with other properties located nearby so we felt totally safe. Loved having the residential sidewalks to walk every morning as well. We are picky people & this house lived up to our high standards! A lot for the money! Just a few minutes to restaurants & shopping. Loved jet skiing & sunning.

A fee equal to 25% of the total rent will be charged in case of cancellation, transfer or change of reservation. If a Mandatory Evacuation order is given due to a hurricane, refunds will only be given by your Travel Protection policy/agent. If there is a loss of power due to city or county issues we are in no way responsible.

Homes may NOT be used for weddings, wedding receptions, bachelorette/bachelor parties or any gatherings associated with wedding festivities.
There is a $20. charge for keys not left in the home at departure and a $30. fee for all lockouts.
All prices strictly reflect () persons or less. Any more people will cost as website states. It will be considered a breach of contract if extra or unpaid for guests are found on the property. Immediate eviction can be expected of total group and all money sent will be forfeited .
A damage deposit of $500-$1000 is required. If no damages are incurred and HOME IS LEFT IN THE ORDER IT WAS FOUND & there have been no other violations of rental policy then damage deposit will be mailed back 3-5 days after check-out.
NOTE: If expenses are incurred to repair damages, replace missing items, pay for extra cleaning or any other violation of rental policy as a result of your stay, we reserve the right to apply any money sent to offset expenses. Renters must promptly disclose any known or suspected issues with the home.
If lock-box on pool heater is tampered with, a loss of full damage deposit is required.
If any mattresses have been “wet”, loss of full damage deposit will result.
If a breach of contract occurs(or if local authorities/police are called for any reason) and eviction is the result/necessary, the NIGHTLY rate will be applied,……or depending on the “issue”, entire amount of money paid may be forfeited.
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ON THE PROPERTY OR IN HOME AT ANY TIME!! ALSO NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN HOME!! If pets are found in or on property, or smoking is realized, loss of full deposit will be the result. Eviction of tenants(due to having pets or if smoking is realized) will be at the discretion of the owner.
PRIVATE POOL IS TO BE USED BY REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY!
Sheets and towels are provided, however we ask that you bring your own BEACH towels. Bath soap(1 per tray), toilet paper( 2 rolls per bath) and trash liners(1 or more per basket) are provided UPON ARRIVAL ONLY.
Trash bins must be pulled to the curb on trash days and brought back no later than evening of same day.
Owner is, by Florida law, allowed to enter home at any time if he/she suspects any actions that might breach this contract. Owner may also enter home to check A/C filters and for any other reason necessary to maintain, security and comfort of tenant.
If property is for sale, renter must cooperate with the owner or realtor to arrange convenient times to show said property.

A “courtesy call” or e-mail will be given 47 days prior to check-in to remind you to send balance and at that time it will be DUE WITHIN 7 days of phone call or E-mail. If balance due has not been paid within 7 days after renter has been notified by email or phone, then reservation will be considered cancelled, home will be re-rented and all prior rental and tax money paid will be forfeited. OR if owner chooses not to cancel the reservation then a late fee may be applied.

We stayed in May. We had 11 people in our group, had plenty of room and bathrooms. The house and property were beautiful and very nicely decorated. Just a short distance from the beach. This was our families 3rd vacation to Florida and we really loved this house.All the kids loved the pool and it was very private. Everything you need for a wounderful vacation is there. The property owners were very nice to deal with and helpful.

There was a group of ten adults and 4 kids (all 4 and under). We had such a nice time. The house was beautiful and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the beach was a few paces away and with all those kids there was too much stuff to try to carry. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. John the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I know with me to this beautiful property. Great getaway I needed from work. The property owners were responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean 75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that!
The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large private bath, guest bedrooms and bath and laundry area. Lastly, don't forget about the private pool!
I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple. Destin is beautiful and a must see for the beach lover!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day.The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. Walton. Our favorite restaurant was The Crab Trap.

This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome kitchen, great bedrooms. The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. John and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

we stayed! there was a group of ten adults and 4 kids (all 4 and under). We had such a nice time. The house was beautiful, updated, and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. Jon the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!

the perfect spot for your ideal vacation. The house was gorgeous with all the necessities for the perfect vacation. This house could easily sleep 16+ people, but for this vacation I, my husband, 2 year old son and my two parents stayed here. The house was amazing. The kitchen was awesome, fully stocked with all your cooking needs. My parents slept down stairs in a very comfy room. We slept upstairs in the master suite… and let me tell you…this room is gorgeous! The pictures just do not do this house justice. My 2 year old son slept in the room next door in a crib that was provided by the owners. For anyone who has little ones, you know what a relief it is not to have to pack the highchair, pack-n-play, nightlight etc. The owners provided all this for us…and made our vacation so “baby friendly.” The location of this house is PERFECT! …such an easy walk… we did drive just because we had a 2 year old and more beach toys than any one child should have :) But if you have small children the owners also provided a couple of wagons that they could climb in and then be pulled down to the beautiful sandy beaches. I don’t want to forget to mention that the owners had all the beach toys/sand buckets you could imagine that they have collected over time that kids can play with… so no need to bring a lot of beach toys like us… just one more convenient/thoughtful bonus.
I need to also include the fabulous private heated pool that comes with the house. Oh my goodness, we could have, and pretty much did spend the bulk of our vacation in the pool. It has a shower right by the pool, so when you get back from a long day at the beach, you can wash all the sand off and then spend hours just chillaxin in the crystal clean pool. The pool was one of our favorite parts of the vacation. The steps leading into the pool made it very easy for my mom and 2 year old to get in and out.
I could absolutely write a novel on how much we LOVED it, but I am only allowed so much space for this review. I guess I will wrap this up with saying the house is awesome, the beaches are awesome, the location is awesome, the shopping is awesome, but most importantly… John and Dawn (the owners) are awesome. Please…if you are looking for an amazing vacation destination this is it! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you so much John and Dawn… You’re the BEST!!

We stayed in this home for 1 week and it was awesome. I have 3 small boys and they enjoyed the pool at the house more than they did the beach. The walk to the beach was a great time to explain the rules of the beach to the boys. We also had 2 other families stay with us in the house, which totaled 12. It was actually big enough for all of us. We did not run into each other at all. Very convienent location. I will be back to stay here in the future. The house was very clean and well decorated. The owners were great about providing us with the information that we need to complete our stay.

Sight unseen (other than the internet) my family booked a last minute spring vacation this year. Without a personal recommendation, we were a little apprehensive as to the booking. As it turned out, we had nothing to worry about. The house was clean and spacious. The owners were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location is excellent: shopping areas, yet in a quiet, homey neighborhood. My daughters (ages 3 and 6) loved the pool. I am already looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful vacation home in Destin! We have stayed in this same house for 3 years in a row if that tells you anything. We love the location...close to the beach and to shopping! Plenty of space for large families and well kept. Has everything you need to have a fun and relaxing vacation. Would recommend again and again!

We stayed in Ocean Cabana the week of July 4th, 2009 and absolutely had a ball! What a perfect set up for a group with kids ranging from 5 to 16! The location was perfect for the older kids, allowing them some independence to walk back and forth to the beach, as well as an easy trot back to the house for the small kids.
The bedrooms were a great layout, with three kings, no one fought over who was getting the BIG bed! The added bonus was the pool and big back yard. Enough room for horseshoes, BBQ, Fish Frying and just sitting around relaxing.
Ocean Cabana is the second house that we have stayed at that is owned by this couple. We loved both of them and will use them again!

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way. The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy. We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

John the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I know with me to this beautiful property. It was the getaway I needed from work. The property owners were responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean 75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that!
The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large private bath and balcony, 2 guest bedrooms and bath and laundry area on the 2nd and another bedroom on the 3rd floor. Lastly, don't forget about the private pool!
I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple. Destin is beautiful and a must see for the beach lover!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful time. The owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the beach. Biking was terrific as well. Highly recommend this place!!

Our family of 9 spent spring break '09 in this beautiful home! We loved the pool and the fact if was close to the beach. Of course the kids loved the spiral staircase! I have to say everything is disclosed on their web page, no hidden secrets!! The owners live in town and were always there when we needed them!!! I would definately recommend!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. Walton. Our favorite restaurant was The Crab Trap.

This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome kitchen, great bedrooms. It is just down the road from the beach. The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.

we stayed at the mango sun may 11-17 2008. there was a group of ten adults and 4 kids (all 4 and under). We had such a nice time. The house was beautiful, updated, and we had a blast at the pool! it was really nice to have a vacation in a house opposed to a hotel- we cooked out, we all got to hang out together by our private pool, and there was a washer and dryer!! there is also a way to rent a golf cart for the week. that was a big help. the beach was one block away and with all those kids there was too much stuff to try to carry while walking. the older kids also loved taking rides in the golf cart- which is a licensed vehicle that you can ride on all rodes less than 35 mph. Jon the owner of the home came by a couple of times to clean the pool, very nice guy. over all we had a great vacation and i would recommend this house to anyone. it was close to walmart, beach shops, beach and restuarants. i loved it!!!

The house was a great spot for our family vacation. It was properly maintained and had everything we needed. The layout was perfect for the entire family to be together but not in each other's way. The living room/dining/kitchen layout is ideal. The pool is a great feature of the house after the beach in the evenings. It was quiet and peaceful and enough room and seating for us all to enjoy. We all had such a great time we plan on going back next year!

We just returned from a week stay at the Ocean Cabana. It was fabulous and totally met all of our needs. The decorations were perfect for the Florida area with all the palm trees. The kitchen was stocked with all the electrical appliances. The full size washer and dryer was a definite plus as it was nice returning home with clean clothes. Its location was so convenient to local stores and restaurants. However, it was extremely nice having the gas grill in the backyard. It made having our family vacation that much nicer by staying home and enjoying the meal and everyone's company. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We would get up every morning and have our daily walk along the ocean. During the day, we would enjoy the sounds of the waves and the rays of the sun...but if someone wanted to go back to catch more rays, the pool was right there. The owners were very friendly and professional as I was working on the vacation plans. Our whole group did the Blackbeard Sunset Tour. We highly recommend it! We saw dolphins and watched a beautiful sunset before returning. We would definitely recommend the Ocean Cabana & Clearview Vacation Rentals to our family and friends. We can't wait to return!

Great house, great location, lots of room, everything we needed. The only thing we could have asked for was nicer weather. Enjoyed the beach on the good days, did some geo caching around the area. The owners were very nice people and explained everything quit well. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here the week of July 25,2009,and had a wonderful time. Place was sparkling clean, beginning supplies,(TP, soap, etc) as promised. We called the owner 15 minutes out and he was there to meet us, go over ground rules and give us keys. Grams has some mobility problems so the first floor bedroom and bath were a dream.
The three fourteen year old granddaughters loved going up on the balcony at night and talking and giggling....the furnishings and supplies (pots and pans and small appliances) were outstanding. Great walking, good beach access, close to stores but practically no traffic noise.
One of the best features was the pool and surrounding deck and chairs...we would definitely reurn to Ocean Cabana or one of John's other properties.
Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and cruising the Bay...sand bar to anchor on and some very empty beach areas.

We stayed in May. We had 11 people in our group, had plenty of room and bathrooms. The house and property were beautiful and very nicely decorated. Just a short distance from the beach. This was our families 3rd vacation to Florida and we really loved this house.All the kids loved the pool and it was very private. Everything you need for a wounderful vacation is there. The property owners were very nice to deal with and helpful.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife, infant son and two couples I know with me to this beautiful property. It was the getaway I needed from work. The property owners were responsive before we arrived and during our vacation if we needed to reach them.
The property is conveniently located near retail, restaurants and of course...the beach. They even recommended a place to snorkel in Destin that only locals know about. I was swimming in the ocean 75 yards from a school of dolphins. I'll never forget that!
The property itself had many convenient features: kitchen and large living space on the first floor; master bedroom with large private bath and balcony, 2 guest bedrooms and bath and laundry area on the 2nd and another bedroom on the 3rd floor. Lastly, don't forget about the private pool!
I vacation alot and I would highly recommend this property for families, trips for friends or a romantic getaway for a couple. Destin is beautiful and a must see for the beach lover!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful time. The owners were wonderful and extremely responsive when we called them with questions. They had great suggestions for "best of Destin" as well. The house is very open, clean and works well for a group! We really did enjoy the swimming pool after our day at the beach. Biking was terrific as well. Highly recommend this place!!

Our family of 9 spent spring break '09 in this beautiful home! We loved the pool and the fact if was close to the beach. Of course the kids loved the spiral staircase! I have to say everything is disclosed on their web page, no hidden secrets!! The owners live in town and were always there when we needed them!!! I would definately recommend.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren. It was wonderful! The grandkids loved the pool and the ocean as did the adults. It was great sitting out on the balcony off the master suite each morning. All beds were comfortable; the kitchen was easy to use, and we had plenty of room for all of us to eat together. Having a washer and drier on site was helpful. With 14 of us, we did laundry every day. Not having a bathroom on the third floor was the only drawback, but we still managed well. The house was clean and comfortable. This was the first time we had tried a vacation like this. We will definitely do it again.
In addition to playing on the beach, we played golf along the coast, went deep sea fishing (the highlight of the week with Captain Ken on the "Just-B-Cause," and had an up-close-and-personal encounter with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. Walton. Our favorite restaurant was The Crab Trap.

This place was awesome. Great sized living room, awesome kitchen, great bedrooms. It is just down the road from the beach. The backyard is awesome. There is a great pool that you can swim or sit out by and large grill. The balcony off of the master bed is great for looking out at the pool too. If you are a porch person like me you'll love the large wrap around porch. It is also close to restaraunts, grocery stores, and anything else you could want. Jon and Dawn couldn't have been better people to rent from. All and all this place was great and served for an awesome location.
