But what distinguishes this beach villa from any other in Costa Rica? The owners are wildlife photographers who have taken the road less traveled.  You'll encounter unexpected details throughout their custom built home such as one-of-a-kind art tiles replicated from their personal photos of orangutans, gorillas and other amazing animals. Every detail tells a different story. The owners were drawn to Costa Rica by the endangered Red-backed squirrel monkeys that grace an elegant pedestal sink in the “Monkey Bathroom.” A shower niche was inspired by the cover of the owner’s book, “Among the Orangutans.” Nine-foot tall Moai statues adorning the swimming pool were a birthday gift commemorating a trip to Easter Island. A floating photo gallery on the second floor invites you on their expeditions to Borneo, Rwanda, Nepal, Thailand and beyond.
