Description

Poipu Villa Vista, a custom designed 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3600 square foot home set on the rim of a dormant crater, as unique as the home itself. Two separate living areas, each with their own kitchen, dining, and living areas is one of the homes' offerings. Ideal for family reunions, wedding groups, honeymooners with family desiring privacy, corporate meetings - we can host small weddings of up to 25 people. (Please note, event fees and damage deposits are in addtion to normal rents.) The lushly landscaped grounds include orchids, tropical plants and palm trees that greet you swaying in the gentle breezes – an oasis unto itself!

As you step inside this tropically appointed home fresh orchid plants catch your eye and draw your gaze to a 40 foot wall of glass paneled mahogany doors which lead out into your own tropical garden with a lava rock sunken spa and pond and walkway that winds you through a rainbow of colored tropical flowers and palms. Drift off to the sound of cascading waters that splash into the lava rock pond with water lilies floating atop while you observe the array of tropical birds that fly and perch in and out of the private garden. Or you might enjoy the spa after a long round of golf or tennis in the evening while gazing at stars that can be seen nowhere so brightly gleaming.

The main floor has a master bedroom with bath and two queen bedrooms that share a bathroom. The master bedroom suite with vaulted natural wood ceilings, ceiling fan, sitting area, desk area with two chairs, custom red oak built in dresser, walk in closet, entertainment center with TV and teak vanity. This room has mahogany doors that fold back and fully open into a 'private' area of the tropical garden with cushioned teak bench seating just outside the doors. The two queen bedrooms have vaulted natural wood ceilings and fans. Both bedrooms offer sliding doors either to the lanai or the backyard tropical garden.

The Master bathroom has double sink, granite vanity, a private toilet closet. You step down into a custom lava rock and tiled shower, large enough for two and imagine yourself in a waterfall in a tropical rain forest as you gaze out of the window in privacy and enjoy tropical plants, palms and distant mountain vistas in total relaxation. Bathroom 2 has custom tile, two separate sink areas, custom glass shower enclosure around the tub. This bathroom is easily accessible to both queen bedrooms. Bathroom 3 is shared by a king bedroom and the two twins and has a large shower, two sinks and toilet. All bathrooms are large.

The property has a beautifully designed garden with lush tropical flowers, palm trees and banana trees in the rear yard with large in ground spa. The spa is surrounded by lava rock pond with fish and water lilies in bloom. This area has landscape lighting in the evening that operates automatically (on/off) that creates path lighting to the spa and a beautiful display of the tropical garden through the evening which adds to your enjoyment of the home!

The Poipu area is home to two fine hotels with fine dining as well as luau options. Poipu has a small shopping center with several local restaurants and light shopping. Poipu is located along the South Shore of the island of Kauai. About 9 miles up the highway from the Lihue airport. Highly sought after for its luxury, exclusive golf courses and fine custom homes, this area is a destination for the most discriminating traveler. Access to world-class golfing at several golf courses in the area within just a few minutes.
